What kind of interaction can I expect?
We've had guests we've gotten to know, who have hung out with us and joined us for dinner with friends. We've also had guests who wish to come and go with little interaction. We are flexible. Feel free to give us a sense of your schedule when you arrive.
What kind of noise level can I expect?
We live on a fairly busy city street, but the apartment is on the tenth floor so there can be some street noise but no one has ever complained.
What control do I have over heat/AC?
There are two controls in the apartment: one controls your space and the common areas of the apartment, and one controls our space. You are welcome to raise/lower the heat/AC to meet your needs (warning: the heat is pretty sensitive, and it can get pretty hot after a small adjustment!).
#1: Please communicate, communicate, communicate.
Don't be afraid to ask questions!
We are flexible and the apartment can be as well. Most likely, we'll be happy to accommodate your needs and you'll be happy in return!
#2. Please no smokers
#3. Please be respectful of our space, our belongings, and our neighbors.
Rory and Braidies place was great! The place was very accurate to the pictures posted on airbnb. Extremely clean and warm welcoming. If you are coming to visit the Boston area, this is an amazing couple to stay with, their place and location to everything was so convenient. The parking on the street is kind of difficult but the train is super close by. Loved the place Rory and Braidie, Thanks again!
It was a great stay at Braidie's place! Very clean, comfortable and convenient location!
When I come to visit Boston and Cambridge location, I would like to stay at this place for sure! Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place.
The listing description was accurate. The neighborhood was cute with many shops nearby including bookstores, coffee shops and a 24 hr CVS/Pharmacy. The apartment was tidy and nicely decorated. The hosts were welcoming and even invited us to their barbeque. We were able to check-in early which was extremely helpful. Even though this a private room, we were able to utilize the kitchen, living room and rooftop patio (with an awesome view). The bed was very comfortable. Parking pass was available for use. They provided a list of recommendations of things to do and places to eat around the area. We appreciated the good communication from the hosts and they even warned us regarding a block party down the street.
The location is super-convenient. The apartment is simple and pretty. The host offers a good list of places to eat, which is extremely helpful.
The only pity is that we didn't have much face-to-face interaction with our host.
The room is clean, light, and quite spacious. There's a bathroom across the hall, which is just for the guests - so that was great. The apartment itself is also really nice, and has a great balcony with nice views over Cambridge. Even though we didn't get to meet the hosts, the communication was great and the tips they gave us for places to eat were awesome. The T-station Central Square is a few minutes walk away, and a great hub to check out the whole of Boston!
The directions to their place were bang on (about a $25 cab ride from the Airport). Perfect location (two minute walk to the subway which is ideal for travelling around Boston) and the recommendations for places to eat were outstanding (we went to Border Café which we highly recommend). The bed was incredibly comfortable and the place was clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks guys!
Little contact, but very congenial and informative when necessary, which is probably what most seek in a host.
