We are steps from a variety of restaurants, nightlife, and Public Transportation, and close to Harvard, MIT and downtown Boston. This is a great location for visiting Harvard, MIT and or BU.
-Public Transportation: The Central Square subway 'T' Stop on the Red Line, the #1 Bus which runs up and down Massachusetts Avenue, and a cab stand are all steps away. An we mean literally steps away, you can see them from the front door.
-Cambridge sites: We are equidistant between Harvard and MIT: Both are 5 mins away by public transport, or a lovely 15-20 min walk.
-Downtown Boston is a short 5 minute ride on either the subway or the bus.
-We provide travel tips and places to check out around Cambridge/Boston upon request.
Taken great care of by a young professional couple in their late-20s/early 30s, this private room features:
- Full-Size bed with nice cotton bedding
- Room features a chaise lounge, set of drawers and closet space
- Private bathroom (you won't have to share while you are here!) with towels and toiletries (Shampoo, Conditioner and Soap) so no need to check your bags to get liquids.

The decor is contemporary with black wood, biege carpeting and colorful art. The room comes with other modern amenities provided in our 2-bedroom apartment: private bedroom, wireless Internet, TV (basic cable), kitchen, private bathrooms and a (coin or credit card) laundry room downstairs. We are on the top floor of our elevator-serviced building, and have a large deck with a beautiful view of Cambridge. There is also a small gym available in the building.
Please check the Calendar tab for the room's availability, and if it looks available, send us a message with any questions you have.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Is there parking nearby?
We have a Cambridge visitor pass for our guests: parking is first-come-first served, but you can usually find something within walking distance. On weekends and evenings there is free parking at metered locations within walking distance.
There is a pay public parking garage next door, the Green Street Parking Garage: (website hidden)
What kind of interaction can I expect?
We've had guests we've gotten to know, who have hung out with us and joined us for dinner with friends. We've also had guests who wish to come and go with little interaction. We are flexible. Feel free to give us a sense of your schedule when you arrive.
What kind of noise level can I expect?
We live on a fairly busy city street, but the apartment is on the tenth floor so there can be some street noise but no one has ever complained.
What control do I have over heat/AC?
There are two controls in the apartment: one controls your space and the common areas of the apartment, and one controls our space. You are welcome to raise/lower the heat/AC to meet your needs (warning: the heat is pretty sensitive, and it can get pretty hot after a small adjustment!).
#1: Please communicate, communicate, communicate.
Don't be afraid to ask questions!
We are flexible and the apartment can be as well. Most likely, we'll be happy to accommodate your needs and you'll be happy in return!
#2. Please no smokers
#3. Please be respectful of our space, our belongings, and our neighbors.
It was a pleasure to stay in Rory and Braidie's place which was exactly as described and pictured. The flat was absolutely spotless and was a really comfortable place to stay. I must also mention the mattress which was so comfortable! Also the view is amazing. Shame the weather was too cold to use the rooftop terrace!
The flat is in a great location, a stone's throw from Central subway stop. It takes no time at all to be in the downtown area and is the perfect base for exploring Boston. The area around the flat feels extremely safe with numerous restaurants to choose from. It is also really near to both MIT and Harvard.
Rory and Braidie were excellent hosts. They were always really communicative and replied instantly to any messages. They always made sure we had everything we needed and were just generally really friendly!
All in all, a fantastic airbnb experience and if I am ever back in Boston again, which I hope to be because it is a lovely city, I will be sure to book this place!
Thank you for sharing your place. It was nice to meet you and stay at your home. Rory and Braidie was friendly and helpfull hosts.
We loved staying here! It was so comfortable, clean, and Rory and Braidie were so welcoming. The view was awesome! Such a cute neighborhood and conveniently located near the T and grocery stores as well as restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
Braidie is terrific and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The location is about a two minute walk from Central Station making subway travel a breeze. We didn't need to uber once. The outdoor deck space is fantastic. Thank you!
Listing was accurate, the accommodations were very nice. Braidie was very polite and helpful. The location was also very convenient for me, as I only had to walk 15 minutes to get to the MIT Architecture and Design building.
We had a really nice time at Rory and Braidie's place. Great location and the visitor's parking pass was amazing as we wanted to forget about the car and just walk everywhere.
We had a very nice stay in this apartment. We only saw the hosts briefly but they were courteous and open to receive questions. Braided even suggested a great restaurant in the area for us to eat, which was very good! The neighborhood was great. It is very lively with many eccentric local shops and restaurants. Just as well, the area is very central near the universities and downtown Boston. The room was accurately described by the hosts on the website and a good place to stay. Now that spring and summer are coming there is a lot of light coming into the bedroom very early in the morning and the blinds do not block out all the light. This is just an issue of personal preference so if you don't like to be awakened by the sunshine and planning to stay here you may need some sleep shades.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
