Stayed here for two nights while visiting NYC.
Great, favorable priced apartment in New Jersey. I didn't meet Sylwia in person because she was out of town, but she always reacted promptly and correct to my questions via mail. She even offered me lots of tips regarding public transport.
The apartment is clean and exactly as described.
You can use bus no. 4 which stops right at the corner (less than a minute walk) to Grove Street PATH station and go to Manhattan from there. Takes about 20 minutes traveltime.
Would stay here again.
Great place! Clean and spacious. With young kids, the walk 20+ minute walk to Grove st was too far, so we took the bus from right out front, which was convenient. Neighborhood was a little rough, but ok. Liberty park was further away than imagined. Had an issue with another airbnb guest arriving unexpected (he went to the wrong location) but that was sorted ok. Luckily he was trustworthy, as he had the key and was inside when we got home! The host arrived with 20 minutes to sort it out.
We stayed for 6 nights in this modern, cosy apartment. Good size for two people. Very easy checkin and check out, and although we didn't meet the host, when we contacted her she got back to us promptly. About a 30min walk from Grove Street Station and then 20min train to Manhattan. Very pleasant stay, would recommend!
First off Sylwia's place was totally acceptable. Everything was clean and in good order. However as someone who used airbnb a fair few times this experience was somewhat lacking compared to others. Communication was poor and little had been done to make our stay go smoothly. No recommendations or directions had been left for us and we never met Sylwia. The whole experience was very hands off. Also we felt the listing was a bit misleading about its proximity to the City (walk + train took at least 40-50 minutes). The wifi in the apartment is also painfully slow (don't expect to steam any video content). On the plus side Jersey City has a cute little historic downtown with lots of great restaurants and shops.
Great little apartment. For the price I wouldn't have expected anything more!
Wifi is slow, but you shouldn't be stuck inside anyway.
Getting to WTC will take you about 40min. PATH train is about 1.5 miles.
We enjoyed our stay here. There are positives and some negatives. First the positives. The apartment is in good condition and easy to find. It is a typical urban area we always felt safe and enjoyed interacting with people around the neighborhood. There are two great restaurants a stone throw from the apartment , Nicks for breakfast and El Tipico for Dominican food. Also a small grocery store to pick up essentials. To get to nyc we usually took an uber to the PATH train on grove st around 8$ then in to the WTC. The negatives; The a/c in the apartment does not adequately cool the apartment and the mattress is worn and is not big enough for two people. The sofa beds need attention.
