  • My experience was awful. The neighborhood was terrible and my children were afraid. Not recommended for families. No one welcomed us. We left and did not stay and lost $269. The refund policy is ridiculous. Parking was horrible. I will not use Airbnb in this location or area again.

  • Sylwia was very kind to pick us up from Newark and she was very responsive to communication before our arrival and during our stay, by email and text. The apartment suited us well and it's very easy to get to the local train that takes you to the PATH trains that take you into NYC. We enjoyed our stay.

  • The apartment itself was very nice, fully equipped and spacious. Sylwia was always available to answer our emails with questions.
Just the neighborhood was maybe not the safest. We preferred taking a taxi when it was dark.
Moreover it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get to Manhattan and at least 2 different tickets.

  • Sylwia was a great host! She was willing to come and pick us up from the airport. Unfortunately the customs control took longer than expected and our luggage was also delayed. Consequently we arrived at the pickup area 1.5 hours later than expected. Cellphones aren’t allowed inside the airport so I was not able to inform her about our delay. But she was still waiting for us, which was extremely kind of her! As we drove to the apartment she even showed us the main sights of NYC.

The apartment itself was very clean and had everything we needed.
In order to get to NYC there are different options. The nicest option, to our opinion, was a short walk of 10 minutes to Exchange place, here you can take a train for 5 minutes (train comes every 8 minutes or so; 2 dollar ticket), and then take a ferry (5 dollar ticket). This ferry gives you a stunning view on NYC’s skyline and the statue of liberty and it arrives very close to the 911 memorial. So in a rather short amount of time you are in NYC, after enjoying a stunning view on NYC’s skyline.

We really enjoyed our stay here.
