If any information is missing, we are more than happy to answer your questions!
This is like having your own small apartment (250 sf2 / 23m2) within a bigger apartment, and it’s perfect for short or long term vacation or business travel.
Once you walk through the apartment into your private space, you will find everything you need: a very spacious and bright room overlooking beautiful Prospect Park, with a comfortable full size bed, fresh sheets, a small kitchenette and a private bathroom including fresh towels, a hair dryer, soap and shampoo.
The kitchenette is fully equipped with: 2 hot plates, mini fridge, toaster, electric water kettle and a french press.
You will find coffee, different teas, granola and milk for a simple but delicious breakfast.
Air conditioning, free wifi, 1 big closet, extra comforter, enough outlets + German converter (works for some other European countries). There is an elevator in the building and an affordable Laundromat right by the subway station with drop-off service. We have 2 bicycles (no helmets unfortunately) you can borrow when we don’t use them.
Outside your door is a chalk board, where you can write messages to us and also let us know, if anything is missing (toilet paper, soap, breakfast items etc..)
You will live with us, our roommate and our friendly and clean cat "Lion", which we’d like to keep out of your room.
We speak english, german and some french and always try to answer all your questions and recommend restaurants/bars/clubs etc to you.
Please set up a set up a full profile and contact us directly.
Cheers, Caro + Al
Your room is a spacious, self-contained little suite, in terms of our apartment, you will have access to our hallway only
Interaction with Guests
We are both private and busy people but always try our best to answer your questions and make you feel welcome! We also provide several books about New York where you can find some answers.
We are located on the 4th floor of a pre-war building right across from Prospect Park and a 3 minutes walk from the subway: 20 min to Downtown Manhattan, 20 min to the beach. Cafes, restaurants, delis, pharmacy and supermarket are around the corner.
The subway (Q/B) is a 3 minutes walk away and takes you to Manhattan within 20-30 minutes.
the Q train runs 24/7, the B train on weekdays only.
A few buses (B43 and B48) are convenient to explore the "non-tourist" Brooklyn during the day or come home late at night from Williamsburg.
Other Things to Note
Our very cute and friendly cat "Lion" is also very adventurous and sometimes likes to escape the apartment, especially late at night. Please be aware and open the door carefully!
• please take your shoes off at the door; there is a shelf with house shoes waiting for you
• please close all doors quietly and always lock the apartment door from either the inside (small golden knob) or the outside (with the keys)
• after midnight, please respect your roommates and the neighbors in terms of noise
• please don’t turn off the fridge
• please never change the A/C temperature settings, and always turn the A/C off before leaving. Only use ‚energy saving’ setting.
(Tip: the ‚fan’ setting is quite efficient)
• sometimes our adventurous cat ‚Lion’ waits outside your door just to get in :) ... please be aware and don't let him them stay in your room (he’s not allowed in there). He also sometimes likes to escape the apartment when you come home, please be aware!
• if anything is missing: just write it on the board outside your room
• ENJOY YOUR STAY ☺
Caro + Al's place is brilliant. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful suite. Everything is very nice, clean and tidy and Caro + Al do everything to make you feel welcome. At the same time you got a lot of privacy. If I ever need a place to stay in Brooklyn again, I'll definitely try to stay here again! :)
Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip and wasn't able to stay with here. However, Caro and Al were very accommodating as I tried to rearrange some things to make it on day 2.
We stayed at this apartment for 7 nights in November. It was clean, quiet, and convenient and Alastair was a wonderful host! The room had New York travel books and restaurants recommendations in the Prospect Park area.
Staying at Carol + Al's apartment was an incredible experience. The apartment is really beautiful. Everything really clean. The neighborhood is awesome! 2 minute walk from the subway, in front of a beautiful park. A really safe neighborhood. Apart from that, Carol+Al are really welcoming and they let me leave my luggage at the apartment after check out with no additional charge! I would completely stay with them again! Totally recommend it.
We loved staying at Caro's and Al's apartment. We felt welcome and knew we could ask for assistance if we needed to. We loved the neighborhood, lots of coffee shops, caribbean restaurants and mix of different cultures coming together.
La chambre est bien équipée et autonome (salle de bain, WC, cuisine). L'appartement est très bien situé, à coté d'une station de métro facile d'accès depuis JFK et à coté du Prospekt Park.
Merci Caro+Al pour votre accueil
