We arrived to a smiling Jenneke, our hostess since Tony was at work. Upon entering, we were also greeted by a bottle of wine and a warm inviting home which was accurately depicted by the photos posted on AirBnB. Our teenage passenger was eager to see the loft and Jenneke invited him to explore to find it; he was not disappointed as it looked like a cavern with beds and a TV. The entry greeted us with a pool table and everyone enjoyed playing some pool; the bedroom and bathroom at that level was quite spacious. The top floor housed the master bedroom and bathroom and the kitchen and dining/family room with a balcony that had a table where you could enjoy any meal with view of the ocean in the distance. The large backyard included a hot tub and a fire pit.
The coastal town was a short walking distance from the house and had some nice restaurants and small local shops. The beach was a short walking distance from the house but we didn’t have time to go there during our short stay. Other towns and cities like Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo were a short half hour or less trip away.
The hosts provided everything for a comfortable stay; even a toothbrush for someone in our party who forgot theirs. Upon leaving, we discovered that someone in our party forgot to pack their special pillow and Tony was very nice to offer sending it back by mail. We met Jenneke and their daughter Holland but missed the opportunity to meet Tony since he was working but enjoyed their hospitality and would not hesitate to recommend their house to others.
Every time I'm at the Cayucos Beach House, my thoughts alternate between, "This is all so charming" and "I wish I lived here." This house is so special and lovely -- the beds are comfy, the view is stunning and everything is just dreamy.
From the first time that I saw this very unique house, I just knew we would love it! We had such a great time and really appreciated the beauty and uniqueness of this very cozy and beautiful, complete ocean view house! The owners are very cool and accomodating as well! We loved the fact that the beach was just a few blocks away, the market, Schooners and lots more are just a short walk away! The hot tub came in handy and very enjoyable for all of us and the and the home was very comfy and fully loaded with everything you would need to live there! Lol! Thank you so much to you both! You are lovely people and the only problem was we just weren't able to stay long enough! We never wanted to leave! You will be sure to see us again! Until then, ️!
Tony was a great host and the Cayucos Beach House was a great spot to relax for a few days with friends. Things to love about this place:
-friendly hosts (they left a nice bottle of wine and when they saw we were headed to the beach pointed out the chairs and other beach gear we could borrow; but they also give you plenty of privacy
-cool house with lots of room
-nice back yard with jacuzzi
-great sunset view spot from the upstairs deck
We're already thinking we'll come back here when our daughter is older as there is really cool "kids area" between the two floors that we're sure she'll love when older.
We'll definitely be keeping this place in mind as coastal get-away.
Thank you to Tony and Jenneke for a wonderful vacation! The house is so stylish (artistic, funky, fun) and comfortable, what a treasure of a place! The minute we arrived, my kids were already saying they wanted to live in it permanently. It is even nicer than the pictures show, very spacious, light and airy, and so easy to use--so much thought has gone into each and every detail of making it the perfect vacation spot, for grownups and little people. There were so many nice little touches like the decorative lighting throughout the house to greet us when we arrived, the chilled beer mugs in the freezer, the fragrant and pretty bar of handmade soap, the complimentary bottle of wine! Because our time was limited, we didn't get to use the outdoor spa/garden, which looked amazing. The nicest stretch of the beach is just a few minutes walk away. We also enjoyed the quick drive to Montana de Oro and Spooner's Cove. I can't wait to come back with my family for a longer stretch. Thank you, this is the perfect place!
We spent a weeklong family vacation here and it was fantastic. The hosts have truly thought of everything. The house is funky and eclectic in a comfortable and fun sort of way. It's well located a block off the beach and about a 10 minute walk to the pier. It's a two story home, but the ceilings are very high which makes the views upstairs just fantastic since there is nothing in front of you. We enjoyed so many beautiful sunsets on the upstairs balcony enjoying a nice cocktail! Lots of areas to relax around the house, especially outside. There's a hot tub, two fire pits, a really large back patio, outdoor shower and a tiki bar among other things. And we found the house very well equipped for cooking, making cocktails and entertaining the kids. Tony and his wife live next door and were just lovely to us throughout the stay gong really above and beyond. It's obvious they enjoy hosting because they thought of all these tiny details which made our stay even more pleasant. We highly recommend their home!
Thank you for selecting us for your weeklong vacation over New Years 2015, we thought your two little girls are adorable. We appreciated your attention to the care of the beach house, even after a weeklong stay it was ship-shape. You and your family are welcome back anytime. We'll be working on finding some new bike trails for you to ride!
We were married in the area. It was a small wedding and just us and another couple chose Cayucos and Tony's home to stay for three days and celebrate and relax. It was the perfect place.
Tony greeted us and gave us a lay of the apartment. It had many things that were great for our stay -- a fire pit and outdoor charcoal grill, a pool table, a hot tub, and a wonderful kitchen and living room area to chill out in. Also, we were able to bring our dog with just a couple of easy understandable rules to follow. The dog loved the beach which was just a block away and sunbathing in the back yard.
While it seems like the house is right next door to neighbors and Tony living next door, the house does feel private. Tony is very responsive and accessible to any needs or questions that came up.
The whole house and every detail of the design and decoration were awesome. Lots of very personal touches that made the stay feel at home and very unique.

Our dad and mum built our beach house and will be your Host during your stay. They built the beach house out of recycled materials from an office building that was being demolished. Mum provides the inspiration, dad provides the persperation...
