This is a lovely quaint riad in a quieter area. it is a 10-15 minute walk to the medina area. There are a few restaurants nearby and a really good hammam (le bains de marrakech is a 5 minute walk away). The location though a little but away from the medina was no issue at all and there were interesting things to see nearby as well. The night attendant, Hamid was really helpful and the rest of the team tries their best as well. We don't agree with some other comments about the meals cooked and served at the riad. Breakfast was fine. Simple and hearty but our dinner experience was dismal. There were plenty of other options for food though so the riad is still a great little gem of place with warm friendly hosts, despite dinner being a let down. The showers worked well and the rooms and linen were clean.

Our group of 12 had an incredible stay in Marrakech with Jean Jacques's Riad. He was very attentive to anything we needed, organized our transportation to and from the airport, and helped us set up side/day trips. The Riad itself made out trip..gorgeous, cultural, and very spacious, with a great space on the top floor for our group to hang out. We also had some meals from the cook (including breakfasts), which made mornings delicious and easy. Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience!! I was traveling with 9 other people and the host was very accomodating. The space was clean, beautiful and authentic. They prepared dinner, breakfast, wine and hookah at a reasonable, additional price. The staff was there with us and was able to tell us spots to see in the city in our short time there. We loved it so much we tried to book an additional night but it was already taken. I'd recommend this riad to anyone. Thank you so much!

We travelled as a group of 13 and had an amazing time at Riad Hugo. Jean-Jacques answered my flurry of questions quick and offered great solutions for logistics. The staff working at the Riad, Ilham and Hamid are two of the nicest people I have met, with Ilham serving us delicious breakfast, mending broken clothes, and offering advice and councel for local gems. Also helped us cook on our last night which ended in a feast. We would all love to visit again. Thank you JJ, Ilham and Hamid.

Marie-Line was a very warm, gracious and welcoming host, as were her staff, they were available to meet all of our needs, be it a trip to the mountains or delicious food prepared at the Riad, which was actually the best food we had in Marrakesh. The Riad is comfortable and nicely decorated. The Kasbah is a lively part of town with lots to feast your eyes on. I would highly recommend Riad Hugo and we are keen to return one day.
