Located in the heart of historic hops country and six miles from the village of Cooperstown, Hop Inn Cooperstown provides a serene retreat. We are close to the many sites and activities of Cooperstown, yet away from the crowds when it’s time to unwind.
Hop Inn Cooperstown is an "hybrid" house built in 2009. The exterior walls are one foot thick and constructed with insulated concrete forms (ICF). The bump out dormers (6" thick) and roof (12" thick) are constructed with structural insulated panels (SIP). With the use of geothermal technology for heating, cooling, and hot water, the dependence on electricity is reduced.
Hop Inn Cooperstown accommodates a massive private space on the 2nd floor; the Great Room, and two large bedrooms. Each bedroom reflects the essence of two well known hops, Fuggle (classic & traditional) and Cascade (classic meets contemporary). This is a great place for a group of 4 to 6 guests* together. If you are interested in the Fuggle Room, please check out the other listing, Hop Inn Cooperstown - Fuggle Room.
The Cascade Room brings the classics up to date with its black queen-size bed, dresser and side tables. An Amish-built side chair and white marble lamp in the sitting nook rounds out the room to provide an ambiance of classic yet contemporary elegance. Private bathroom with shower is directly across the hall. This room accommodates up to two guests*.
When it's time to relax, the Great Room is the place to go. Watch commercial free movies or TV shows via Netflix on the 65" WiFi TV. At this time, this TV is not connected to live broadcast channels. Also, the alcove in the Great Room, provides a comfortable sitting area for reading; pick a book or magazine to suit your taste. There's a square table and chairs for playing a board game or do a puzzle. If you feel the need to exercise, hop on the stationary bike and workout!
If you prefer the great outdoors, sit on the front porch, take a walk up the road to see the horses, or watch the sunset over the hills. On the grounds, check out the hops and orchard, or take a walk on the perimeter path around the back fields.
A homemade breakfast is served at 8:30 in the Dining Room each morning of your stay.**

Interaction with Guests
We will be present during your stay and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
It is a very rural setting with mostly grass fields and tree covered hills in the background. The house sits on close to 13 acres of open meadows. During mowing season, tractor trails are created, and guests are welcome to walk on those trails. Neighboring houses are a bit apart from each other. Bowen Road is a quiet, dead end road, about a mile long. Some neighbors or guests walk up to the top of the hill, visit with the horses, take in the views, and walk back down with a full sense of the country serenity.
Located in a rural setting, 6 miles north of Cooperstown, off County Highway 33 on Bowen Road. You need your own means of transportation.

Wendy and Andrew were the best hosts ever - incredibly warm and kind and welcoming, the breakfast they cooked us was spectacular, the cookies they left us were fantastic...just cannot say enough good things about them. The room was stunning as well, and the entire house is absolutely gorgeous, as is the setting. If you're going to Cooperstown or anywhere in the area, there is literally no better place to stay...thanks again to both of you guys!
Andrew and Wendy couldn't have been better hosts. They were easy to coordinate with, very welcoming, immediately told us what we needed to know, had beautiful accommodations, were great cooks and just nice people. We can't wait to return next year. Robin and Ron
The hop inn is a wonderful place to stay and the hosts are outstanding. We felt so welcome as we arrived had cookies awaiting us! Wendy and Andrwe were very welcoming and had great info, maps and recommendations readily available. The place was easy to find, very clean and the breakfasts were excellent.
Our stay at Hop Inn in Cooperstown was just perfect. Andrew and Wndy were wonderful hosts who did all they could to make our stay comfortable. Their home was beautiful and immaculate. Breakfast was great! would definitely stay there again!
Andrew and Wendy are amazing! They are so very warm and make you feel right at home. Before arriving they checked-in with us on allergies, had cookies and a cheese plate ready for our arrival, and even worked with us on an early arrival! I couldn't have asked for a more pleseant stay :) Also, their home is BEAUTIFUL! Well worth booking and I can't wait to do a follow-up trip to Cooperstown just to visit and chat with both of them.
This is the second time I've stayed at Andrew and Wendy's Bed & Breakfast, and it's the best airbnb experience I've had. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, well lit, and impeccably clean. The house is in such a picturesque location, close to town, on large open grounds. Coming from NYC, their home is the perfect break from city life. The breakfast they cook for you is insanely delicious - the first time we stayed they cooked scrambled eggs with veggies, and the second time around they cooked pecan waffles. Not to mention that Andrew and Wendy are the kindest people you would ever want to meet. They love hosting guests and meeting new people. I HIGHLY recommend staying at the Hop Inn. I can't recommend them enough!!!!
This was an incredible stay. Andrew and Wendy were so friendly and kind. Breakfast was incredible, the home beautiful, and their company fantastic. Very lovely to stay here!
