This apartment is attached to an art studio, but is completely private. It is luxurious and has views out of every window. There is one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Full sized refrigerator, washer and dryer, microwave, and hot plate.
This apartment is completely private nestled in the oak trees. It has been redecorated with a comfortable antique/retro look. We call it Dixie's retreat as my mom, Dixie built it so she could live with us.
Guests will have access to an outdoor deck with table and chairs and redwood hot tub. This deck is part of the back garden of our family home so is not completely private. If you are planning a private party in our garden let us know and we will try to accommodate you. There is one parking space off the street.

We are available to give you tips for some of the most fun things to do and best restaurants in Santa Barbara.
Our neighborhood is at the foot of the mountains with walking trails a short walk from the apartment. The beach is a 7 minute drive. It is a local beach with a fabulous restaurant, surf in the winter and always good for walking. Great restaurant at the beach.
We are a short walk to the bus stop which will take you anywhere. Santa Barbara has great bike paths and the bus carries your bikes.
Other Things to Note
PLEASE NO PETS
This is a super peaceful place, a place to slow down and take in the birdsong and the beauty of our garden and oaks. The city has no end of great restaurants, historic spots as well as hiking trails, botanic garden, small quaint zoo, and miles of beach.
You are in a family neighborhood with low noise. Not a place for loud parties, excessive drinking. Smoking outdoors only, Only one parking space on our property is allowed. There is street parking for guests,
We loved this place! It was everything we needed. And the hot tub was a definite plus. It was beautiful--even better than described.
The Colemans were also extremely welcoming and made us feel at home.
We hope to be back soon!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Lori's place.
Both John and Lori were great host, we had the opportunity to get to know them. Lori gave us excellent suggestions for restaurants and places to see.
The apartment was clean, roomy, comfortable and walking distance to good restaurants, less than 15 minutes drive to heart of Santa Barbara.
We truely enjoyed our stay
Lori and John couldn't have been better hosts. Here's but one example of their hospitality. One afternoon, my wife Tricia was resting on a chaise lounge on their gorgeous patio. It was a bit chilly.
Lori spotted Tricia on the patio and brought her an afghan. John came next and hooked up a heater. In sum, it was a lovely, quiet place to stay in Santa Barbara not far from the city's bustling crowds. We were sorry when we had to leave our new friends Lori and John and return to the East Coast winter.
Hi Lori and John!
In general I was fully satisfied with staying at Lori's house. Personally, I was enjoying when she ahowed around each legacy from her mother and even more that makes me feel like staying in someone's history. 혹시 미국 가정 문화를체험하고자 하는 분들은 꼭 이 집에 들러보시길 추천합니다:)
thank you for your hospitality and wish you the best hope to see you in tbe very future:)
Lori & John were wonderful hosts. Myself & & 3 friends came to Santa Barbara for the weekend for the SB half marathon and their home was perfect for our stay. The house is really cute and the yard was beautiful. The hot tub was just what we needed after our long run!
They were there to greet us when we arrived & made us feel so welcome the entire time. The place is very clean & well taken care of. They obviously care about their home & go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. I would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Santa Barbara.
Very welcoming host and hostess. Felt welcome immediately. Warm and gracious. Allowed us to arrive a day early and sleep in their guest room as the apartment was rented. Great coffee and homemade jam in the morning. Wonderful hot tub - very private. Lovely stay!
Lori (and John) are the best hosts ever. They made us feel like we were family. The accommodations are top notch and as advertised. We felt safe and cozy and loved 'hearing' the life in the oak trees. Lovely sitting areas part of the unit with great shade. Highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again.
I love hosting people, friends or strangers. My home and garden are my delight. Also, I am a potter, jeweler and mosaic artist. My husband, John, and I have been married 45 years and have lived in this home for 40 years. He is much nicer than I am.
