About this listing
Welcome to Casa del Agave.
We are conveniently located 12 minutes from the airport and downtown. Casa del Agave is a great place to base yourself if you want to explore Anchorage and the surrounding areas.
We have two bedrooms (one bed in each) available that adjoin a private bath and den. The additional bedroom, right next to yours, is available for an additional $25.00/nt. This makes the space perfect for couples or families traveling together. To ensure your comfort and privacy this extra bedroom will only be rented to guests traveling together. Its just the two of us in a dog/cat free house.
The den is equipped with a 46-inch flat screen TV with DVD/Blu-ray, Wii, Amazon streaming video, secure wireless internet and a selection of movies.
There is a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot and tea kettle for your use. We provide your choice of a Kenai breakfast burrito (sausage and egg) or Bad Hunter (egg and potato) breakfast burrito, coffee and tea to get you started in the morning.
The den has a sliding glass door that opens on to a huge deck with lounge chairs to unwind at the end of a busy day.
I will always try to meet you when you first arrive at the house. You will have a code to the front door and can come and go as you please.
Interaction with Guests
Our house is essentially divided into two sections with the entrance being the only common area. The guest area is downstairs, on the ground floor. We live upstairs. You can choose to interact with us as much as you want or not at all.
We enjoy having chats with our guest over a cup of coffee or wine. We are available if guests would like suggestions about things to do and see.
If we don't have evening plans we often like sharing a casual meal.
There are many incredible scenic hiking and biking trails nearby. Downtown Anchorage also offers an array of different activities in summer and winter.
There is a bus stop a few blocks from our house.
No smoking and please leave your shoes at the door.
About the Host, Diane & Dave
We are both professionals that have lived and worked and played in Alaska and Anchorage for most of our adult lives.
For the last several years we have traveled extensively and enjoyed staying with Air BnB host along with family homestays. It's been a positive experience for us and we decided to open up our home as well. We enjoy good coffee, sharing food with friends and an occasional glass of locally-brewed beer or wine. We have very good local knowledge to make your stay even more pleasurable. We love all that Alaska has to offer such as biking, hiking, rafting, camping and exploring different parts of this magnificent state.
