Description

The Space

Dublin 4 is the nicest area of Dublin. It is central and you can get there very quickly from the airport, either by taxi or by bus which leaves you at a hotel two minutes from the apartment. There are great transport links to the rest of Dublin city and all the coastal villages. It is residential, quiet and near a great park, lots of bars and restaurants and the City Centre. If you stay in this apartment you won't need a car. It's ideal if you are on a business trip as you can easily access the commercial areas of Dublin. The apartment is very spacious (1,100 square feet) unlike most apartments in Dublin and has three bedrooms and a big living area. It is fully fitted and as the owner lives nearby so you will be able to make enquiries about local amenities and events. While it is suitable for groups, the owner prefers families and business travellers.

Guests will have exclusive access to the whole apartment. There is a sitting room, dining room area, balcony, full kitchen facilities, dishwasher, clothes washing machine and dryer. Everything in the apartment is accessible. There are three bedrooms.

Bedroom 1, the master bedroom has a new large super king size double bed and en suite bathroom

Bedroom 2 has a new large super king size double bed and a second bathroom beside it.

Bedroom 3 has a high bunk style single bed. Under the high bed is a queen size double bed and there is also a single bed. It is near the second bathroom

All beds have duvets and pillows.

I live nearby so the guests will have my mobile phone number if they have any questions or need any advice about where to go or what to do in Ireland. They are welcome to drop in to my house if they would like to say 'hi.'

I have worked as a chef in the past so if I am free and guests would like me to cook them a traditional Irish breakfast or an Irish stew (or something more complicated) a catering service is also available if I have advance notice. I will also give guests advice about the best entertainment in Dublin as I am a writer and usually know what's going on!

Ballsbridge is the best neighbourhood in Dublin. Baggot Street (a five minute walk) which is nearby has everything you need, a good Supermarket, Deli, pubs, restaurants, pharmacy and other shops. It's a really nice walk (20 minutes) through Georgian Dublin to the city centre and there are great restaurants and traditional Irish bars along the way. Herbert Park is a short walk away (five minutes) if you feel like relaxing and you're near Aviva Stadium if you like Sports. You're within walking distance of Sandymount Village (ten minutes) and the beach if you feel like enjoying great views and a walk on the beach. the DART train station is near (five minutes) and you can take the train along the coast to lovely villages on the North or South side of Dublin.

There's a bus stop right outside the Apartment Block which brings you straight into the City Centre in a few minutes or if you cross the road to all the nice villages on the south side of Dublin. The DART train station is a very short walk away as well if you want to go further away. There is a taxi rank right across the road if you prefer not to use public transport. Taxis aren't too expensive and there are lots of them available. You can hail them on the street outside the apartment as well. If you want to bring a car there is free secure parking to the rear of the building which has an electric gate.

The apartment is suitable for mature groups of friends, families and people who are travelling to Dublin for work purposes. It is not suitable for large groups or stag or hen parties or people who would like to have parties or make lots of noise.

I love living in Dublin. It's a really friendly city and a great place to bring up kids. There's always something on, a play, a movie or a new restaurant opening up. There's lots of cultural events and sports facilities nearby. I like travelling to other cites all over the world if I'm travelling without my kids. If it's a family holiday the south of Spain or Crete are great for sunshine, swimming and food.
