A Vermont getaway in this spacious guest suite located downstairs of the event barn with private yoga studio. The suite has a hardwood, VT crafted, queen size bed, decent size kitchenette, TV, couch area, sitting desk & yoga props for your relaxing pleasure. Sleep in, take your time, no rush. Enjoy the grounds & sip coffee in the gardens. Revitalize & restore in a quintessential Vermont town surrounded by green mountains & silver lakes. This suite is a basement studio down flight of stairs.

The space
Barnard is one of Vermont's best kept secrets. An outdoor lover's haven! Home to Silver Lake State Park, hiking, biking, local farms, theater and so much more.
Your suite is located on the historic 1796 property that was the original crossroads to Woodstock. Enjoy the acres of perennial gardens, walking paths, & find yourself out back at a private pond with a gazebo.

Also located on property is The Barnard Inn Restaurant whose chef acquires locally grown food for the freshly prepared menus. Open Thur - Sat, walk on in to the tavern or make a reservation for the dining room.

Barnard is near Woodstock, South Royalton (Vermont Law School), Hanover (Dartmouth) and Quechee. It is a central destination for access to local dining, culture and skiing. Just 10 minutes from Saskadena 6, literally you are on the VAST trail & not far from Killington & Pico.

Guest access
Guests access the suite from the red barn on the left of The Barnard Inn Restaurant. Park in the designated spot, facing Route 12, as the lot may get full on busy nights. The entry door is white with keyless entry. A code will be sent to you on the day of your arrival. Go down the flight of stairs, leave your shoes outside and the guest suite is on the right, also a keyless entry with the same code.

Other things to note
There is a decent sized Kitchenette which includes a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, blender, mini-fridge, silverware, dishes, knives, wine glasses, cups, paper towels, dish soap & sponge with a lot of counter space & a large stainless steel utility sink.

Yes please drink the water, it is from a deep well and tested regularly. It is better than any bottled water, just drink it cold & fill your water bottle for the day.

The bathroom is spacious with white luxury linens, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, iron & hair dryer.

The studio has a queen bed handmade in Vermont using native hardwood, with white luxury linens with two end tables and individual lighting. There is a small couch, sitting chair, coffee table & coat rack. Across the room is a desk & chair opposite the kitchenette area.

The yoga studio is for you to enjoy and in the adjacent room to the sleeping & living area. Please use only 1 set of props per person & leave them out for us to clean when you depart. There are 2 large windows in the yoga studio. Feel free to open or close them for added air circulation. This is the only natural light in the suite, feel free to keep the door to the studio open by the queen bed for added natural daylight.

The Wifi on the property is connected to ec-fiber which is one of the fastest internet systems. The wifi reaches outside and covers most of the grounds where you may sit or stroll. Sit by the fire in the perennial gardens and you will still have access to the same wifi.

Please keep the thermostats at 65. The studio has radiant floor heating in a well insulated newly constructed studio. It is cool in the summer and super toasty cozy in the winter. Raise or lower just a couple degrees for heat effect. Be patient, it takes a little while for the heat to soak into the concrete floor and radiate up to you, or radiate out to cool off.

Fire Exit: there are two options. 1) exit back up the stairs you entered through 2) or through the 2 egress window located in the yoga room.

This is a Commercial Property: 1) hardwired to the Barnard Fire Department. Please do not create any smoke while cooking 2) there may be the din of conversation or music on property until the restaurant closes 3) No smoking anywhere on public grounds as per VT State Law

Snowmobilers are welcome & the VAST trail comes right to the parking lot. Arrangements can be made for trailers and sleds. Please ask.

This is a very quiet suite, there may be occasional noise from walking or wind upstairs of the barn.

There is no washer dryer available.
