Charming shotgun in the Marigny section of town. Easy 15 min walk to the French Quarter and 3 blocks from the music clubs of Frenchmen St. Fantastic residential neighborhood: safe, quiet side street yet short walk to many restaurants, clubs and amenities. Apartment consists of living room, a small kitchenette, bathroom, one bedroom with full-size (double, not queen) bed with good firm mattress. Second adjoining bedroom with queen bed is sometimes available for an additional fee. High ceilings and hardwood floors. Two great coffee shops within 3 minute walk.
Please note that I don't take bookings more than 6 months out.
The guesthouse is ideal for a couple. If renting the second bedroom (which I do only for festivals and special events in town) be aware that the second bedroom is connected to the first bedroom by a short hallway with the bathroom and kitchenette, but the second bedroom folks have to go through that first bedroom to get outside. There's a door and privacy in your back bedroom but you should be comfortable with the walk-through situation.
When booking, please provide arrival and departure times if you know them, and please also let me know the names of all guests as well as a brief description about the purpose of your trip.

Maison Mandeville is a beautiful place in a beautiful neighborhood. Surrounded by coffee shops and friendly neighbors, this is where I would live if I moved to New Orleans. Very close to Frenchman Street - the place we mostly went at night for great live music.
Great apartment, wonderful location! Rachel was great to work with. Will definitely recommend Rachel's home to friends and family visiting NOLA!
El mejor lugar para hospedarse. Rachel es muy cuidadosa, la casa es bellísima y está cerca de donde hay que estar cerca. Gracias Rachel!!!
Fantastic location near Frenchman St and easy walk to the French Quarter. Lovely apartment and Rachel is a terrific and welcoming host. Highly recommended and would love to come back again.
The studio is really nicely decorated, comfy, and well stocked with snacks and toiletries . It's also in the perfect location, you can basically walk to everything between the French Quarter and Bywater. Rachel was out of town during our stay but everything went smoothly. I'd definetly stay again if I'm back in New Orleans in the future.
Rachel was a great host - very friendly and accommodating. Her place is really nice, in an awesome neighborhood, walking distance to all sorts of cool things. Just one thing to note, if you are thinking of staying here: Her neighbors next to the house are loud. They are loud people and have a loud barking dog. Rachel cannot change this, but just be aware before you decide to stay.
Rachel was easy to get in contact with to ensure I had all the information I needed for my stay. I enjoyed being at her place on Mandeville as it was right between the New Orleans Fringe Festival locations (one block down from the Old Firehouse) and a few blocks to Frenchman Street as well as the French Quarter. It was a great place to relax after a day of sight seeing or seeing shows.
Very nice place, easy walking distance from the French Quarter.
Rachel was very accommodating.
Overall a quiet, comfortable get-away with nearby restaurants.
But be prepared that the neighborhood gets lively when the Saints are playing football!
What can I possibly add that has not already been said about this fantastic place and hostess? Rachel seems to have been born with hostess DNA in her blood. Every detail was considered down to making sure there were plenty of window coverings so rooms could be kept dark for late sleeping to an umbrella at the ready near the door to a kitchenette stocked with snacks to an abundance of travel and entertainment guides. I brought a friend with me who had never been to New Orleans and she was so impressed by this place where we stayed, that she wants to return again and again. I was so happy to see how thrilled she was with our accommodations. It made for a wonderful get-away.
Wonderfully charming home and hostess. Perfectly situated on a lovely and quiet street. Rachel is a very thoughtful and makes you feel well cared for. We had a fantastic visit and could not have been happier with all the personal touches and comfort provided for us.
