The space

From the main structure, once a single building, two small annexes with independent entrance have been carved out.
This apartment has a self catering kitchen, a small dining room/lecture room and three bedrooms, 1 kingsize, 1 walk through single and 1 single sofa bed.

The neighborhood

It is located in a quiet spot in the Comune of Montalcino, a few kilometres from the famous wine town, in the heart of the “Brunello” area and near centres of great cultural and scenic interest.

Getting around

Florence and Perugia are not far away. Within easy reach are tourist localities like Pienza, Montepulciano and the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni and San Filippo; the seaside resorts of the nearby Maremma, the mountain area of Monte Amiata and the spa resort of Chianciano. Please Note: when the property is rented in this solution no other guests will be present on site.

Other things to note

The villa is situated in a 20-hectare property, 18 of which are covered by centuries-old woodland and the rest by olives, arable land and vegetable garden. The grounds around the house are about one hectare and include the swimming pool area and the large lawn crossed by the path leading to the chapel and to the small chestnut grove equipped for pleasant alfresco picnics. Recent restoration work of the dry walls that divide the land in terracing has unearthed an 18th century mascaron with which the old fountain has been recreated. Water is in abundance at the Capuchin Convent and many springs flow down into the little stream whose babbling accompanies the awakening of the guests who decide to spend their holidays in this special place.

Swimming Pool
Open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October, the swimming pool, which is completely enclosed, is about 40 m from the house and is on the same level. It is of rectangular shape and measures 16 x 8 m with the depth varying from 1,20 to 2,50 m. It is lined in mosaic, surrounded by a terracotta border, and is illuminated by night. Entrance to the water is by Roman steps and a little ladder. The solarium area, equipped with sun loungers, deckchairs, small tables and umbrellas, is paved with grit tiles placed naturally on the grass. The pool has a cold water outside shower.
