The Space

3 bedroom top floor flat with elevator, circa 200 sq mt; beautiful living room equipped with TV and WiFi, live-in kitchen, dining and study area. Each room has its own bathroom (all identical to the one shown), 3 baths and 1 shower plus master bedroom with both. There are 4 small terraces and a garage with 4 private parking spaces. Its location is optimal, only 10min walk from the slopes and about 5min from the town centre.

The spacious living room of this Chalet Flat is the perfect setting to relax and recharge in the cold winter evenings after a day on the slopes and the perfect entertaining space for a gathering of friends during the holidays. Family and friends, children and adults will all find their space to exist in harmony, in health and sports. The Italian Alps is the wonderful setting behind this jem of a mountain flat chalet. Sestriere, 2053 mt of altitude, is the home of the 2006 winter Olympic games and host of skiing World Championships for numerous years. Its "Milky Way" Via Lattea slopes of approximately 250miles allow mountain lovers to ski their days freely between France and Italy while ice skating, ski clubs and snowboard park make even the most active of kids sleep solemn nights! The restaurants in the town itself and surrounding areas give a wide choice of typical cuisine and night life is available for those who prefer the darker hours with a variety of bars and night club.

Sestriere Chalet Flat is 66km/41miles from Turin Caselle International airport, 230km/142miles from Milan Malpensa International airport and only 22km/13miles away from the Oulx railway station where the high speed TGV train stops twice daily year-round on the Paris-Turin-Milan line. Sestriere is 24km from the French border (Mongenevre) and 100km/62miles from the centre of Turin.

  • Bixio 80 was a great place to stay in most ways for us. The apartment is nicely laid out, comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The rooftop terrace makes the end of the day/night truly relaxing. Centrally located to the main Termini, it is an easy walk to catch a bus to the Vatican or other locales, or to take a day trip (as we did) to Florence on the fast train. And the Metro passes less than a block away. There are some great restaurants close to the apartment as well. There is also a fine grocery store only a block away. Overall a great experience and visit! One caveat -- While the apartment and terrace are great places -- getting there may not be for the faint of heart (or legs!). Traversing the stairs up to the 5th floor walkup can be an experience after a day-long tour of the city walking on cobblestones. But once on the terrace, the legs get a good chance to relax.

  • Stefano was very easy to communicate with and gave clear directions to his charming and comfortable apartment. The location is a stones throw from the Flavian Amphitheatre and the Roman Forum and it is around the corner from San Pietro in Vincoli, which houses Michelangelo's statue of Moses. There is an excellent supermarket 5 mins walk away. The beds are comfortable and the location is quiet.

  • Thank you Stefano for our wonderful stay at the Colosseo Art apartment. It is exactly as the pictures show. The location, just up the hill from the Colosseum, is amazing. The apartment is comfortable and inviting, especially after a long day of sightseeing. My son loved hanging out in the loft above the living room, and we had a lovely dinner out on the balcony one of the evenings. Despite being surrounded by the city with the Colosseum so close, the apartment is surprisingly tranquil-- a nice refuge where you can hear the bustle of Rome while enjoying some privacy. This is the perfect apartment for a family of three with a teenager who wants a little personal space while still being with his Mom and Dad. We loved living in the heart of Ancient Rome only steps away from the city's most iconic landmarks.

  • We enjoyed our stay. Stefano had someone meet us at the arranged time and show us how everything worked without any problems. We took advantage of the cafe and restaurants nearby, as well as the market around the corner. The apartment is very close to the Manzoni metro station where you can catch buses , trams or the subway to most parts of the city.

  • The apartment was spacious, clean, and well located. The air-conditioning was appreciated on the warmer days. For light cooking the kitchen area was useful. I was very happy with the apartment.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome, and in particular returning to Trastevere and the loft/apartment each day. We think the apartment is in a great location, but also loved the architecture, use of space, fixtures and fittings, furniture, books and (most of) the art. (We didn't use the terrace and courtyard as much as we thoght we would, but mainly because we were out and about so much). We were one adult and 3 large teenagers/students and it suited us perfectly.

Trastevere is a great place - numerous restaurants and bars at night but wonderful to wander around in the morning when buying bread and eggs for breakfast (great bakery for bread and foccaccia in the morning and take away pizza later in the day - buy by weight... on Via del Moro). We also patronised the gelaterie opposite at least once a day! We walked everywhere, and saw lots - but we are already looking forward to a future visit.

It was a pleasure to meet Stefano, who was very helpful, before and during out stay. We very much appreciated he agreeing to us leave our bags (in the washroom) until early afternoon on the day of our departure, and for organising a taxi for us.

  • We had a very nice stay in this Bixio apartment. Everything matched to description, but the terrace is the real highlight of this apartment - it is private and very nice. We didn't meet Stefano in person but there was someone to give us the keys when we arrived, Stefano was available online when we had some questions and answered quickly and was very helpful. Nice apartment with convenient location near the central Termini train station, Metro stations not too far away, all main sights easily reachable, great experience for us!

  • Easy going host, was very flexible in check-in time. Very nice apartment, looked similar to pictures. Only problem we had was the internet connection wasn't very stable. Good place to stay if you want access to central Rome.

  • Everything went well and easy. Communication was quick and clear. We really enjoyed our stay. Location is perfect of you just have little time to explore rome.

  • I've stayed a whole month in Rome and I was absolutely happy in this flat. Everything has worked very well. The terrace was green, full of flowers (the water system at night-time is genial) and it felt like paradise after being out in the exciting city the whole day. All the furniture and facilities in the flat are top and simpatico. The kitchen is small but well equipped and internet/ WiFi is steadily and stron(website hidden)-contact with Stefano was always possible and he is very friendly and helpfully.
