The space
About the House:

Guests will have full access to two small bedrooms, one bath, a fully equipped kitchen, living area and dining area. Fishing:

Directly in front of the house is a first-class salmon and steelhead run with easy access and easy wading for beginners to advanced levels. Guides from The Trinity Fly shop will often stop here with their rafts early in the morning. Additionally, there are three salmon holes and more than five additional steelhead runs within 5-10 mins walk from the house. Drift boat and raft access is available 1/8 mile up river from the house. Half day or full day floats are very comfortable – class 2 water, depending on river levels.

Lewiston Lake, (~8 miles away). Blue ribbon rainbow trout 5lb+ pound trout are common in this lake. Boats are available at Pine Cove Marina for rent. This is a very peaceful picturesque lake and a must see for everyone. Trinity River Hatchery is the largest salmon and steelhead hatchery in CA and is located close to Lewiston Lake. For more information on river levels and fishing conditions, please visit The Trinity Fly Shop www.trinityflyshop.com, call Pine Cove Marina (530) 778-3878.

Wild Life and Birdwatching:

Just up the road from the house (5 min walk) there is a beaver and salmon spawning habitat which includes ponds, tributaries and walking trails. The property and surrounding areas support an abundance of wildlife. Deer are on the property daily, fox are common and the bird watching from the river deck is excellent. Bald eagles, hawks, osprey, king fishers and other birds of prey are also quite common on the river and at the lake.

Hikers and Trailblazers:

The Trinity Alps trail heads are a short drive away (30 min) and host incredible single day or multi-day hiking and backpacking trails. Several additional day hikes in the area surrounding Lewiston Lake are very popular. More information on Trinity Alps Wilderness and Stewart’s Fork trail systems will be available to you in the "cabin".

Kind friendly person. Love families, dogs and fisherpeople. My husband Larry (who hosts with me )and I live down the street from this wonderful place. We've had a family place in this area for over 40 years and decided to live here 6 years ago. Our children are grown and they and our grandchildren enjoy this place as their go to for peace and quiet and of course they LOVE to fish and raft down the river. We truly believe this is a wonderful magical place to visit and relax. We love people from all walks of life and will do our best to help you love your stay and make you want to come back again and again!
