- For something a bit more organised we have teamed up with Cotswold Walking Holidays Ltd who can provide expert guides for walking in the Cotswolds. Cotswold Walking Holidays are a leading provider of walking holidays in the region, founded to encourage people to explore on foot the beauty of the Cotswolds. This area of gentle hills and honey-coloured stone villages, some 100 miles/160kms west of London, has some of the best walking in England.

- The Cotswold Way - Just over 100 miles of quintessentially English countryside. Follow the Cotswolds escarpment with its stunning views and charming villages from the beautiful Cotswold market town of Chipping Campden in the north to the World Heritage City of Bath in the south.

- Browse the many antique and curio shops in Tetbury

- Stroud, with its dramatic Cotswolds landscape, unique arts and crafts heritage, fabulous festivals and independent shops, the Stroud District is the least commercialised and unexplored area of the Cotswolds. In particular you may want to plan your visit to coincide with the highly regarded Stroud Farmers Market

- Malmesbury Abbey - The Abbey is at the centre of Malmesbury and can be seen for miles around. A Monastery was first established on the site around 676 but the present building dates from the 12th century, and was consecrated about 1180. One of the most notable features surviving from that period is the south porch with its magnificent Norman arch containing carvings depicting Bible stories. There is also a fine vaulted roof to the nave

- Abbey House Gardens - Ian & Barbara Pollard aka The Naked Gardenersbought Abbey House in 1994 to make it their home for their family of three children and in the autumn of 1996 decided to create a garden that might attract visitors from around the world to the historic town of Malmesbury.

- Painswick - This historic wool town known as ‘The Queen of the Cotswolds’, is one of the finest and best-preserved Cotswolds settlements, nestling quietly in the hills and surrounded by some of Gloucestershire’s most delightful countryside

- Gloucester Cathedral - Worship has taken place in this wonderful building for 900 years and it continues as a place of prayer and Christian pilgrimage.

- Gloucester Docks and river cruises - The former dock estate has become a popular destination where visitors can enjoy interesting views and a range of modern facilities while wandering around a remarkably complete example of a Victorian port.

- Gloucester Quays - Designer Outlet has an outstanding mix of high street and designer labels at up to 60% off recommended retail prices.

- Golf – plenty to choose from including Minchinhampton Golf Course - Three truly outstanding tests of golf set high on the rolling Cotswolds where the glorious scenery complements the quality of the golf experience. Can there be a better golfing destination or Club to belong to in the whole of the South West?

- Gloucester Rugby – We can arrange tickets - The official online home of Gloucester RFC including team news, fixtures, ticket information, multimedia and all the very latest for Gloucester fans

- Cheltenham Races – We can arrange tickets - The racecourse is best known for the National Hunt festival held in March each year, and includes races such as the Gold Cup and Champion hurdle

No smoking indoors, however there is a nice seating area in the garden designated for smoking.

We can organise a " welcome" food hamper for your arrival, just let us know what you will need and it will be waiting for you.

From the 10-16th of March the price of the room is higher than normal as I have to stay outside of the Cotswolds as the hotels/ rooms are all fully booked and very pricey. To cover my costs I have to raise the price for me to ravel elsewhere and stay in a hotel myself and board my dog. However I try to keep prices reasonable to simply cover my overheads and not charge the silly prices that most accommodation establishments charge at this very busy time in Cheltenham.
The holiday inn ( also near the racecourse ) is charging £450 a night. ( parking is extra) for a standard room on the same dates the privacy, charm and character of the cottage.

Check in is strictly at 4pm or later unless by special arrangement.

Parking has become residents only in autumn of 2015. You can park in the bay's at the top of the street for up to two hours. Then anytime after 10pm and before 8am. At all other times there is a NCP multi storey car park on monsoon avenue and an open car park next to Chapel Spa. We apologise for the inconvenience, don't blame us, blame the local council.

We have a pond so do not take children under the age of 5 unless by special arrangement.
