+Gail was very friendly and responsive.
+Close to the Universite de Montreal.
+Price can't be beat.
+Clean and comfortable.
-A little hard to get to/from airport, as well as the downtown area.
Gail was very kind. Apartment is very clean and organized. Perfect for UdeM students. Might be far for tourists.
The apartment is great and well facilitated; spacious bedroom, nice kitchen with all sorts of appliances, and a very nice balcony (for during summer time).
I found Gail's service less apt. Despite having notified her of my time of arrival, she was not there to let me in when I arrived. I had to wait for the other tenant to come home to get in the apartment. This did not only happen to me, but also to my flatmate who I had to let in the building when he arrived. The internet jammed at some point and we had to rely on luck for it to be restored.
All in all I do think Cote des Neiges is a good deal and worthy of a recommendation, especially for those with business at HEC since its proximity with the university. I hope Gail will hone her hostess skills for a truly wonderful experience.
What can I say, I don't want to be negative, we were content with our stay, but I want to be very clear on what you can expect. You really do get exactly what you pay for in this case. The apartment is ok, but not as nice as the pictures, and the area of town is pretty rough, especially if you wander into the bad areas, just a few blocks away... I definitely don't recommend leaving the apartment in the later evening... It's about a 25min walk to the nearest Metro (subway trains), and 20min train ride to downtown. If you go with low or no expectations you will be content (we were), but if you are expecting something as clean as a hotel, or close to the downtown night-life, you might be a bit disappointed. Street parking is VERY misleading!!! There are "No Parking" signs sporadically placed along the street, always at the end of driveways where the garbage bins are. They say (in french only) street parking was not allowed on Tuesdays and Friday during certain times. Common sense makes it seem like it is saying you can't park near the garbage bins, and there is no clarification or arrows indicating where you can or can't park... However we learned the hard way (expensive ticket) that despite the complete lack of information, the parking ban is for the entire street (unless you are a local, and have a special permit), even areas with no signs close by (in our case the closest "no parking" sign was a few hundred meters away) are included in the ban so be really careful. Basically, if you plan to park near the apartment on either a Tuesday or Friday, you will have to move your car at some point before 11am, and you can't return until 1:30 in the morning!!! Our only other small issue was the shower, there is almost no water pressure (or the shower head is broken) so it feels more like someone is spitting on you, rather than a actual shower.
Gail the host and property manager is fantastic, but I really wish she had explained the parking restrictions to us. The ad says there is street parking, and Gail also said we were fine to park on the street, but that is not the case :( If we add the cost of the parking ticket to the stay, we could have just got a regular hotel room!!!
Anyway, overall we were happy, and since we were only using the apartment at night to sleep in, and were out during the day, it was perfect and the price was great.
Gail was a great hostess! She helped us to find the best ways to come and go, and she was always available either personally or by text to help us. The room is clean, clear and enlightened, and fits really well if you need a place to stay while discovering Montreal! We recommend it!

Manage a network of downtown rooms, less expensive than a hostel, always available to give information, suggestions. Where to look for an apt if you are staying in the city. The location(s) are next to the subway/metro, rates are from 40$ 210$ (weekly), private apts from 75$ to 120$. All houses/apts are private and downtown at various locations, parking is free, each room or apt is fully furnished with many additional extras, free parking etc.
