Interaction with Guests
We "go with the flow" - if there's a great connection we love getting to know our guests. If you are looking for privacy we totally respect your needs.
We live in a coastal town sitting on the north shore of beautiful Casco Bay. Bradbury Mt. State Park, the 140 acre Audubon Sanctuary and Wolfe Neck Woods State Park offer plenty of hiking opportunities. Some beautiful walking trails are right outside our back door. Kayaking and biking (rentals) are available through nearby Wolfe's Neck Farm. Enjoy sightings of seal, osprey and eagles on an Atlantic Seal cruise. Or, shop the outlet stores of downtown Freeport, take in a movie at Nordica theater or a summer outdoor concert. There are farmer's markets that run through all four seasons and some pretty tasty food to be had at local eating spots we can recommend for your dining pleasure.
The Amtrack "Downeaster" train stops in Freeport Center and runs to nearby Portland (and all the way to Boston). Portland is also an easy car trip and is a great city to visit for guests on extended stays.
We like clear communication about arrivals and any special needs you may have so that we can prepare for your stay. We appreciate guests who are respectful of our home and quiet if staying out late. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate our guests' pets.
We have enjoyed hosting people from all over the world and look forward to meeting you at our new home!!
