About This Listing
A small but functional studio apartment overlooking a small garden with a shared terrace to sit and drink your coffee or dry your clothes. Located behind the big building on the main road above the Banje Beach and a 5 minute walk to the Old Town!
Our apartments' location has the best of both worlds - 2 minute walk to beach, 5 minute walk to the Old Town!
Our cozy studio apartment is located behind the big building on the main road (thus avoiding traffic noise) and only a few steps away from Banje Beach. Take a 5 minute walk to explore the eternal beauty of Dubrovnik. This apartment is on the ground floor in the second row of house from the sea. There are exactly 50 stairs to get from the street to my apartment. 50 stairs is an equivalent of stairs for the second floor in a building.
The Studio Apartment makes the ground level of my semi-detached house which is situated behind the wide building facing the street above the Main Dubrovnik Beach. It has an excellent location, in Ploče area, close to Hotel Excelsior and 5 minutes walk from the Old Town. Banje Beach are 2 minutes away from the flat, 30 metres descending the stairs. To reach the main road which leads to the Old Town, Banje Beach, markets, etc there is only 50 stairs from the apartment.
The Apartment is categorized with 3* and accommodates 2 persons. It is newly renovated, 20m2 with air-conditioning, one bedroom with two single beds put together (or they can be separated), TV set, kitchenette (and all that you need for cooking), small dining table with two chairs, and TV. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine, and ventilation. We have Wifi Internet, which is free of charge for you. Bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided. No private parking space.
The Old Harbour is 10 min walk and from there you can take a boat to the Island of Lokrum (every half an hour) or go to Elafiti Islands.
If you arrive by plane, take the Airport bus (35kuna) and go to Pile to enter the gate of the Old Town, go through the main street Stradun, and go ahead to the end gate to enter Ploce where you go straight to the Banje Beach to enter the big building with the address: Supilova 21, 3rd floor, Mr Pero Dangradovic who will take you to the apartment. It is shown in the picture that is a screenshot from (website hidden) Earth.
You do the same if you arrive by bus to the Dubrovnik Main Bus Station (GRUŽ Harbour) from where you take the local bus 1a or 1b to arrive to Pile, or if you wish to walk less with your luggage, you take the local bus No.8 and take off at the next stop after the cable car station (the same place where you will wait for the Airport Bus when you will be departing from Dubrovnik if you are taking a airplane), walk ahead for 3 minutes and descend the stairs of the SUNČANA ULICA (i.e. street) all the way down to enter the big building to arrive to Mr Dangradovic, 3rd floor.
If you arrive by ship, Main Bus Station is in front of the ship (GRUŽ Harbour), and do the same as explained above.
There is a bus number 5 to go to Lapad area and a bus number 8 to go to GRUŽ port and central Bus Station.
Guests should arrive from 14.00 till 22.00 (only in exceptional cases they may arrive earlier and later than these but should inform me at least 3 days in advance).
Guests should leave the apartment no later than 10 a.m.
Guests should keep the noise down after 10 pm because there is a lot of people living around.
Pets are not allowed. Smoking is allowed in front of the apartment, on the terrace.
The air condition device should be turned off while guests are absent from the apartment and the windows closed when they use it. The guests should take care not to enter the apartment with the sand and small pebbles from the beach.
1.Please do not leave crumbs or food on the table or on the floor because it will attract ants. Take away garbage bags in a dust bin 50 metres away from the apartment on the road towards the Old Town, on your right hand side.
2.If you wish to have hot water in the bathroom please TURN ON the switch for BOILER where the switch for light is, outside the bathroom door. (Do not turn on the switch for heating, please!)
As you can see our location is the best regarding the combined distance to the beach and to the historic part of Dubrovnik!
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It is a fantastic location to Old Town, just off Banje Beach ( I'd recommend making reservations with the girl at the top of the stairs for a meal at the East West club on the beach - so good!) The apartment is small but fine for a single person or couple. The lovely smell of orange blossoms outside the window was an added bonus. One note, Eleonora does mention being careful not to attract ants and with good reason. When we arrived to the apartment, we did notice a few tiny ants on the ground. Not sure what was attracting them at that point, but they quickly disappeared (either under my shoe or to a more hospitable location if they were lucky) and we saw no more the rest of the visit. Thank you for helping us to have a great visit to Dubrovnik!
Dear Laura, thank you for praising my apartment together with a nice vivid description of (non) existing ants. :-) I am glad you enjoyed the smells of a little garden in front of the apartment and liked the meal at the beach downstairs. Welcome back to explore the things you have not yet seen in Dubrovnik!
I loved the apartment, the patio and the location. Excellent for 1-2 people. I did not meet Eleanor but I did talk to her on the phone. She answered all of my questions before my trip on the site immediately. The wifi worked on the patio as well.
The location was great: just a few minutes walking to the Old Town! The apartment was clean and functional. Eleonora she was very helpful: she answered to our questions fast and gave us a lot of tips. Thank you!
Eleonora's apartment was in a great location close to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the old town gate. It was clean and tidy when we arrived and Eleonora's assistant Mrs D. helped us in - even though she wasn't there, Eleonora's communication was great during our stay. The apartment was nice and quiet.. Just what we needed after the throngs of tourists in the old town. It's also quite handy to a bakery and a few supermarkets so you won't go hungry.
Eleonora provided us with lots of advice to ensure our arrival to her apartment went smoothly. The apartment was faultless, amazing location, clean and great value. If you're looking for a great home away from home in the heart of Dubrovnik, this place is fab! A**
Had a great stay at eleonoras apartment and disappointed we did not get to meet although the neighbours are very helpful. The apartment is perfectly positioned opposite Banje beach and close to the walled city. It was everything we hoped.

About the Host, Eleonora
I live in Zagreb with my son Stefan and the two of us are responsible for communicating and coordinating with our guests via Airbnb, our mail or mobile phone. Our two assistants Mirjana Đangradović and her husband Pero Đangradović live in Dubrovnik whose home is in the large building in front of our house. They are the ones who welcome guests and lead them to the apartment. Since they are also neighbors to the apartments they can help in person and in a short notice. Mirjana Đangradović is also in charge of cleaning the apartments and preparing them for the guests. Her husband Pero Đangradović takes care of the gardens and is a handyman who can repair things if necessary.
The job of four of us is to ensure that our guests have a great stay in Dubrovnik, so if you need anything feel free to contact me via Airbnb, my mail or mobile phone (my number starts with +385 98). If you can not reach me at the moment you can also call my son via his mobile phone (his number starts with +385 91). And of course you can always knock on the door of family Đangradović, they will be happy to help you.
I am a translator/interpreter of the English and Italian language. My son is a law student, he speaks English and French.
I like to travel, and I travel whenever and wherever I can. We have been renovating our house in Dubrovnik thus having 5 apartments to rent. I enjoy being a host communicating with people from all over the world!

The restaurant is located in the Old City’s harbour and preserves the traditional methods of preparing and serving food (mostly seafood) in traditional black pots. Great food for reasonable price!
Cable car station - 4 minutes to take you up to the Srđ hill where you can sit in the restaurant and take photos! It is also the place where you wait for an Airport Bus (2hrs before internat. flight)
Small restaurant in the end corner of the Old Town with delicious mixture of Asian and Mediterranian kitchen. Tasty, spicey & healthy. Prices - not too expensive for Dubrovnik.
Although the prices are a little bit pricy, it is worth to experience the ambiance, jazz and the entertainment. Crowded with a mix of locals and tourists, yet better to get a table in the front row.
Just below the old city walls, south of the main street Stradun, the caffe offers incredible views of the Adriatic, sea breeze, and fantastic views of late afternoon sun and early evening light.
"Kamenice" Restaurant has fish and the seafood that are always reliably fresh. It is situated on the square and has outdoor seating. The portions are big and the prices reasonable.
A small bar in a side street with special selection of Croatian wines served with excellent meat & cheese platter. There is a wine tasting "flight" which involves sampling 3 local white or red wines.
As for the breakfast I would recommend a sandwich at BUFFET ŠKOLA (Antuninska 1) located vertical to STRADUN, with home made bread and famous homemade cheese with Dalmatian prosciutto and tomato.
Fish specialities prepared according to the old recipes of fishermen and popular meat dishes with carefully selected ingredients. It is not an inexpensive restaurant but still well worth the price.
It is located on the main street in Dubrovnik -Stradun next to Pile Gate, good choice of food, coffee, homemade cakes and good wine. A place to watch passers by and listen to jazz piano player inside.
An island with the 1023 Benedictine monastery, Fort Royale Castle on the top built by the French during the Napoleonic Wars, Botanical garden, small lake, restaurant, caffes, rocky beaches, pine trees
Don't miss a dip in the translucent waters of Sveti Jakov Beach, a pebble beach cove!
Located in Gruz Bay - a small street side taverna with the combination of traditional Mediterranean cuisine and international one with affordable prices and high quality wines served by glass.
Located close to the Lapad promenade and several luxury hotels, restaurants, cafes, tennis courts and a children's playground. It consists of gravel and sand, covered with ancient olive trees, pines..
The bar is built within the authentic cave in the More Hotel in the Lapad area of Dubrovnik which is a 10-minute bus ride from the Old Town (bus No. 6 from Pile). A bit expensive but worth visiting.
A pretty fishing village built between two wooded peninsulas conveniently located near the Dubrovnik airport and is an easy ride into Montenegro. You can take a boat from Dubrovnik (45 minutes).
