The majestic cedars, the sea breezes, the birds singing, and wildlife all make this cozy modern cabin a peaceful retreat. A place couples, friends, and families can gather for a fun, restful, relaxing vacation enjoying nature at its finest. Just 3 min by car from Freshwater Bay boat launch, with the Olympic National Park, Olympic Discovery trail, and sandy beaches of Salt Creek recreation area all within 10-15 minutes away. We are not waterfront.

The space
WELCOME to Majestic Cedars at Freshwater Bay on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. An eclectic modern cabin retreat that embodies character from Scandinavia as well as all that the great Pacific Northwest has to offer.
We have created a place for guests and families to gather, rest, relax, and take in the beauty of nature- all the makings of a stress reducing vacation. We offer luxurious robes, towels, bedding, and cozy lap blankets. The kitchen offers everything you need to make a gourmet meal, all you will need is your favorite ingredients! We do not have an oven.
We have tried to think of everything to make your trip as easy as possible from comfortable seating, a dining area, as well as a covered patio with seating to take in your morning java. We provide a beach bag with beach blanket, towels, and sand toys for the whole family, outdoor games, and a BBQ area complete with a small fire pit with skewers to create your favor treats. While enjoying your visit to the Olympic National Park, Olympic Peninsula, and the Port Angeles area we want to share r-corner with you in hopes that it will create a lasting vacation memory of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Majestic Cedars at Freshwater Bay offers guests the freedom to sit within the serene forested areas on the property. There is seating within the forest where you can sip your favorite drink, have a picnic, or just enjoy the singing of birds along with the faint rustle of the towering trees overhead.

Freshwater Bay is a Small friendly community located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, 18 minutes west of Port Angeles city centre. The closest General store and Cafe are an easy 10 min drive from the cabin located in Joyce, Wa. Freshwater Bay is ideal to launch kayaks and small fishing boats (17' or smaller) canoeing and paddleboarding. You can also enjoy beach combing , tide pools, birdwatching (Bald Eagles) and marine mammals as the bay is part of the The Whale Trail. The upper area of the park is set in Western Red cedars and ferns with picnic tables, restrooms and beautiful views of the straits and Vancouver Island, BC.

WELCOME to R-Corner at Freshwater Bay on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. We recently purchased this property to create an eclectic modern cabin retreat that embodies character from Scandinavia to our extensive travels across Europe, as well as all that the great Pacific Northwest has to offer. I am a native of Northern California, semi-retired medical professional, who loves the outdoors, especially kayaking the glacial waters of Lake Crescent as well as Freshwater Bay where Bald Eagles soar above while exploring the amazing kelp beds, and sea life. We moved to Port Angeles 4 years ago to experience a more simple way of life within some of the most beautiful forests, mountains, lakes and streams in the world. Michael was born in Copenhagen and raised on a small farm on a little island in Denmark, where sea breezes and summer houses welcome guests from all over the world with hospitality and Hygge ( a "feeling of coziness" in Danish). We cherish our grandchildren, family, friends and building new relationships with those we meet along the way. Quality time spent, good food and spirits in a fun stress-free atmosphere is who we are! We feel we have created a place that fits our personality, a place that guests and families are welcome to gather, rest, relax take in the beauty of nature, and all the surroundings of the Olympic National Park, Olympic Peninsula and Pacific coast. We want to share R Corner with you in hopes that it will create a lasting vacation memory of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Be Our Guest!!
