A beautiful light filled studio near Santa Fe where you can hear the coyotes howl at sunset. Hike from your front door into the New Mexico desert and feel the peace and quiet of the land. Retreat from the world as you are only 20 min from Santa Fe.
Bright charming studio with high ceilings, loft with view of the Sangre De Cristo and Sandia Mountains. Unobstructed night skies with no street lights to dim the beauty of the stars. You can hear the coyotes howl nearby and enjoy the pristine mountain air. The views are great and you can see all the major mountain ranges. Sunrise floods the loft in the morning and sunset filters through the pinon trees to your private patio and front door. Located just 15 minutes from the first exit into Santa Fe with hiking and ski trails right from your door. An hour away from free hot springs and the ski area. Very quiet and peaceful retreat space. Full kitchen and bath. private entrance, wood stove and electric heat. The downstairs has Saltillo tile and the loft has wood floors. The loft has a queen size bed and the living room futon pulls out into a full size bed. Both beds are very comfortable. The private patio has an area for outdoor meals and 2 lounge chairs for watching the sun set over the Sandia Mountains. When it warms up, a hammock under an old pinon tree makes an excellent place for lazy afternoons.
Wifi, movie streaming, utilities and firewood included. Off street parking right outside your door. Very pure and excellent tasting well water.
The Agora shopping center is 5 miles away and has a full grocery store (including organic produce), restaurants, coffee shops, library, bank, free bus line to Santa Fe, post office, fitness and yoga studios. It's about 11 miles to the edge of town and half of that distance is on the freeway.
I live next door and can help you find your way in Santa Fe and the surrounding areas. I've lived in Santa Fe for over 16 years but was born in the Netherlands and speak dutch, some french and German. I am a hospice nurse, Ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga teacher. I specialize in personal healing retreats.
My husband and I are yoga/qigong teachers and we build a yoga platform on a nearby mesa about 15 miles from our house. We use it for outdoor retreats and classes. Our guests are welcome to use it at anytime. We love to share our place with other yogis --or any one who can appreciate tranquility- and show you the natural beauty of this area
You can use our yoga platform at any time.

Free bus into Santa Fe from the nearby shopping center about 5 miles from our house. So it is best to have your own car.

No smoking inside, no loud noises after 10pm and before 6am.
Jolanda welcomed my partner and I upon arrival. She was very warm and friendly. She gave us great tips for where to go and what to do based off of our personal interests. She also made sure to heat the home and put the hammock up for me! (As I requested) The home was clean, cozy, warm and even better than the pictures. The neighborhood was out in open space on beautiful and sacred feeling land. I enjoyed seeing all of the different shapes and sizes of adobe houses that matched the land very well. The space was sunny, quiet and spacious. I enjoyed waking up to the sun rise coming in the loft bedroom window and writing at the writer's desk. I was bummed that the yoga platform was not on the same land as the house but realize that was my bad in not reading thoroughly. Jolanda gave us space to do our own thing while visiting and was also available if we needed anything. Upon leaving she warmly said goodbye and hoped are stay was wonderful. And it was! My highlight was definitely connecting to the land, sunrises, and sunsets in the neighborhood of the home.
Our hosts made us feel welcome, and we had such a lovely stay. Jivan and Jolanda were very accommodating of our schedule, and the place itself was absolutely perfect. My boyfriend and I were even treated to a yoga session and hike in the wilderness! I awoke to sunshine and a mountain view outside of my bedroom window. Every night, I returned home to wild bunnies frolicking in the front yard. Santa Fe and hot springs were only a short drive away. This was definitely a memorable way to spend our two year anniversary celebration!
This was my first time using airbnb--what a great experience! Jolanda is such a lovely and gracious host & the space and energy of her studio is beautiful! I loved everything about it--from all of the creative, unique, thoughtful touches throughout the studio to all of the amazing recommendations of places to eat and things to do. I felt so welcomed--I arrived late after much driving to the lights being left on and it being so warm and cozy inside (it had just snowed) and delicious cookies waiting for me. I slept so well and love the way the morning light comes in through the loft windows--and the views & stars--truly magical! I only wish I could have stayed longer, but I know I will be back! Thank you Jolanda and Jivan for sharing & providing such a wonderful sanctuary.
This was my first air bnb experience. Jolanda welcomed my boyfriend and I with open arms and made us feel at home. I would recommend Jolanda's air bnb to anyone that is staying in Santa Fe. Everything was perfect!
Jolanda's place was perfect. Though it is a little bit far from Santa Fe, my wife and I loved that the studio was out in the secluded high deserts outside the city. It was tranquil and cozy, and the studio is more like a cottage. It is spacious, and decorated with a clean and simple aesthetic, but tastefully littered with unique and thoughtful decorations that add character and a bit of Jolanda's worldly personality to the home. Highly recommended, book and you are sure to have no regrets!
I had another very good stay - it's so calm and peaceful at the studio and it was snowing! I enjoyed every minute of the still landscape.

I have been living in New Mexico since 1993 but was born and raised in the Netherlands. I live just outside of Santa Fe in a passive solar house on about 1 1/2 acres. The studio is on the same property but has no shared walls with the house and is very private. My favorite place to be is right here at home where every day feels like a vacation. I'm a hospice nurse, Ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga teacher. I love to garden, hike, soak in natural hot springs and practice natural medicine and way of living. I enjoy having guests staying at the studio and guiding them to cultural, spiritual and natural destinations, whether off the beaten path or well known. I also love creating a space where people can retreat from the world, relax and take in the beauty of this inspiring high desert.
