This cosy but spacious and bright apartment is found on the second floor of a pretty stone building in the heart of Assisi and benefits from a fabulous and private roof top terrace of 48 sq metres, with spectacular roof top and mountain views. The apartment itself covers an area of almost 60 sq. metres comprising a large living space from where one can see the Bell Tower of the Basilica di San Ruffino Church. The living area is open plan with a well fitted kitchen offering plenty of work space and a breakfast bar as well as a separate dining table. The bedroom is also a very good size with a large window through which one can enjoy a view of The Rock of Assisi. The bedroom comprises a double bed whilst a sofa bed in the living room offers extra sleeping space for 2 more guests making this apartment most suitable for a family of 4.
The apartment is very closed to the Piazza Matteotti parking and also to a free parking area.
The guests are welcomed at the swimming pool of a wonderful agriturism in the Subasio Park, just 15 km far from Assisi, without any fee. Free and fast Wi-Fi available.
Nous avons reçu un excellent accueil et avons bien profité de la très belle terrasse qu'offre l'appartement de Laura au coeur de la ville. Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour et en remercions Laura!
Laura picked us up at the train station and drove us to the apartment, which was very much appreciated after a long day of travel. She was friendly and we enjoyed our conversation along the way. However, to our surprise, we were not driven to the Mansard but rather to another apartment on the lowest floor of a building with no terrace or view. When asked, we were told that while ours was the first booking, the Maynard is now occupied. No further explanation was offered. This was disappointing since we booked our four night stay and received confirmation over 4 months ago. Given that it was early evening on a Sunday, we didn't feel we had many options.
On the positive side, the new place was very central. It was large and attractive, the kitchen modern and well-equipped, and in general very comfortable. Assisi is a magical town, full of beautiful sights. We were able to walk everywhere. Laura gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendation and told us where to find grocery stores and other conveniences for our stay.
While the change of location by no means diminished our enjoyment of this truly wonderful town, we were disappointed with not having access to a terrace and with the business practice overall.
Gentilissima Laura voto 10! Consigliatissima!
Laura's Apartment truly enhanced our visit to the spiritual city of Assisi. It has a unique location in a quiet street and a terrace to look at the town many important landmarks and also the sunset. Magical experience.
Laura is a fantastic host who help us move in, park our car to the private garage below the apartment and give us good tip to visit.
The apartment is big, great kitchen and bad, comfortable bed and very clean.
The apartment was perfectly located to be able to walk all around Assisi. It had a roof top patio that was very well finished and with incredible views of the large dome of a nearby church and the castle/fort on the top of the mountain. However, we had rented an apartment because we wanted to cook a few meals and we modified our plans because the dishwasher did not work and the apartment had no microwave. In addition, in other locations we had been able to plug our laptop to a flat screen TV to view films and courses on DVDs, but the apartment's TV was an older and smaller model and we satisfied ourselves with our laptop's screen. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our three days in Assisi, the highlight being the pope's visit on 4 October.

I am a chef originally from Faenza and I moved many years ago in Assisi where I worked in the field of catering and tourism. Alessandro, my husband says I'm full of good taste and vitality, but you know: love is blind ... :)
