About This Listing
Large (3.6 x 4.2m) Private room in share house
House has bathroom, kitchen, living room (all shared) & backyard.
20 Mins walk to the beautiful Coogee beach
10 mins walk to shops and iconic 'Spot'
15-20 minute bus to city
There is a private door to your room but you can also enter through the main door.
The house has four bedrooms, a living room, laundry, bathroom and kitchen as well as a backyard with a lovely orange tree :)
Guests can feel free to stay in their own room or hang out in the living room and use the kitchen if they like.
There will be space in my cupboard for hanging clothes and also the top drawer in the dresser is cleared for your use.
Living room has two TVs (Our solution to the world cup group matches being played at the same time haha!) and you can relax in there, watch some TV or attach your laptop with the HDMI cords to watch something. The TV on the right is connected to the TV channels, the one on the left is largely for playing movies.
We also have a WII and Nintendo 64 which you are free to use if you like :D :D
We do have a washing machine but no dryer (just the washing line out the back) – if you really need to do some washing feel free but a few coins for the added expense would be appreciated :P
The house is located directly across the road from UNSW – the gate across the road is Gate 11.
At the bottom of UNSW is Anzac parade and a couple of blocks to the left (as looking from UNSW across the road) are a bunch of sushi places, chinese restaurants and the local pub (The Rege)
>>Yong Jiangs is a great, cheap place to eat.
>>Pinochio sushi is across the road from the BP Petrol station and does a nice $10 mixed dinner (Chicken Teriyaki and rice or sushi and rice)
When you are looking out from the house, down the end of the street on the left is a Pizza Hut (cheap pizza on Tuesday) and a petrol station for last minute things.
Belmore Road nearby has lots of cafes and restaurants as well as a Coles a little way down on the left.
‘The Spot’ is a ten minute walk from the house, where there are a lot of nice little restaurants and a movie theatre.
>>Kurtosh = amazing coffee and desserts (Try the baked cheesecake!)
>>‘Sweet Spot Patisserie’ also does nice little desserts
>>‘Arthurs’ has really nice pizza at a reasonable price
>>‘Little Darling’ and ‘The Spanish Fly’ also do nice tapas
Just a 15 minute walk to the Beach down Coogee Bay Walk!
If you are going to the city you can get a bus from Belmore Road (372 to Railway Square, which is central Station, or 373 will take you to the city along Elizabeth street next to Hyde park right to Circular Quay)
You can also get an M50 from high street which is just located just down the end of Botany Street
If you find yourself at lower campus you can also cross the road (Anzac parade is the big road at the bottom of campus) and there are busses starting with (phone number hidden) etc) that will take you to the city.
If you are in the city, 39’s will take you back to the bottom of campus and then you have to walk up through campus. OR 373, 376 take you to Belmore road (Ask to get off at the end of Belmore Road) and you walk a little way down the hill home (I always prefer walking down hill haha!)
Best advice is to use (website hidden) maps or the Sydney tavel app called Tripview
Clean up after yourself and shoes off (lots of carpet)
I had a very pleasant stay at Alex' house! A nice and spacious room in a small house and free parking just nearby. Although Alex was not there during my stay, he managed to perfectly organize everything! Everything was as described and very friendly and helpful flatmates!
Perfect!! He wrote me a housemanual and explained everything on how to get to his place. The place was clean, in a safe neighbourhood and walking distance from the beach. Great swim!!
Great instructions on how to get to the place by the host. Our host even wrote a manual on where to go in the surroundings. I had a great time at his place and the location was fantastic.
