Interaction with Guests
It's all very pleasant and cordial at the same time very independent. The rooms are comfy enough to isolate yourself when desired. The kitchen area is always the space that bring people together for small talk about the day and projected ventures for the night to come!
The south street seaport neighborhood has the feel of a small village even though it is in Manhattan. Which is something great to have in NY. Small shops and cozy wine bars and restaurants in the street.
Major subway hub is just steps away, the Fulton st station (a 5mn walk) will allow you to commute easily to all parts of the city (A,C,J,2,3,4,5 trains). It's the only train station in Manhattan that allows to travel from the same point to either East or West of the island. This incredible advantage does not necessarily seem important when you don't know the city but once you live in it everyday you are happy to take any line wherever you find yourself and get home in one shot! Everybody else has to switch lines or walk a lot from East or West.
We are several people living there so it's important that we keep the apartment clean and agreeable. That said the only rule is that everyone does its own dishes after use. This way we don't wake up to a sink full of dinner plates and have our coffee with the smell of the last pasta/tomato sauce dinner of one another:)
