I have been delaying writing my feedback for the past few days, since I couldn't find the right words to describe my stay. Anything I would write would not do Anne and John justice.
Their house is amazing and feels like home. Even though I arrived late, Anne was still waiting for me and had everything set up, tea, cookies... Breakfast was so good that I would wait for it every single day!
Anne and John are the friendliest and nicest people I have met.
If ever in Ireland, check them out. They will do their best to make your stay very welcome.
What a great experience! Great breakfast, quiet sleep, close to Howthe and the DART for those who would rather not be in the middle of downtown. Our family loved staying with Anne. Thank you so much for your Irish charm

Anne was hands down the best host we've ever had. She is the kindest, most charming woman you're likely to meet, not to mention the most helpful. And we were hardly simple guests to please. Here's a little sample of what went down:
1) One of our party has severe dietary restrictions. I let Anne know in advance and she was totally on top of it. The rest of us ADORED her beautiful and delicious (seriously, try the oatmeal) breakfasts.
2) She was an absolute encyclopedia on what the best things to do in Dublin are, and was even kind enough to book us tables at restaurants in advance. Forget yelp, tripadvisor, etc. Anne knows all.
3) We were really bad about locking ourselves in/out of places. What did Anne and her lovely husband John do? Stay up late at night in case we needed help. They even brought the champagne on New Years.
4) Beyond all this, the part that truly brought it home for me was the little touches I don't even see in 5 star hotels. We had delicious fresh cookies, tea, and water in our rooms nightly, and she made the beds up perfectly every day. We may have arrived strangers, but we parted (website hidden);DR: 5 star hosts, with gorgeously decorated rooms at an extremely reasonable price. The best place to stay in Dublin.
This was our second visit to Ann and John. It was like visiting old friends. The welcome was as warm as could be, with tea, biscuits, and a nice chat. The breakfast is still the best on the planet! When in Sutton again, we will return to stay. Many thanks to our hosts
Beautiful home with a spectacular garden. Rooms nicely decorated and spacious and the host thought of every details including leaving a spare power outlet for us. We were a family of 3 and we got two rooms, with personal touches in each room, Loved Anne's book collection too. The tour of the neighborhood and helpful tips for our onwards journey was much appreciated too.

About the Host, Anne
Hi, I'm Anne and I'm a very friendly and outgoing person. I 'm very open minded and love to try new things. I'm an Interior Designer and really love my work, and have travelled abroad on work projects. I love to visit markets, antique fairs, and buy old furniture. I paint and distress them with chalk paint and I give full and half day courses, and really enjoy teaching it. I always have a project on the go. I read a lot, and am a regular movie goer , and I love travelling, and have been to many countries. and also enjoy cruising, since I won our first cruise in a slogan competition ten years ago. I have just returned from a three week trip to California, during which I went on a seven day cruise up the Pacific coast way. It was fabulous. I love the States. While on my trip I learned how to play Sudouko. I'm now hooked.
I believe personality, fun and a strong sense that nothing is so precious that you can't relax, is fundamental to being a successful Super Host.
