Sen and her staff made us feel extremely welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely balcony to enjoy! In addition to the perfect location (close to the beach, historic city center, & rice paddy fields), we loved the delicious breakfast she prepared with care each morning (included in the price of the room with both Western & Vietnamese options). I highly recommend staying here.
We had a lovely stay at the Green Tea, our room was big, clean and spacious with a lovely big bathroom, and a tub! The breakfasts were nice, lots of fruit, a little lean on options; bread and butter, bread and bacon, pancakes, or noodles, but always pleasant, lots of coffee/tea and good chat with the other guests and Tree. Sen, Tree and her family were always smiling, pleasant and helpful and invited us down for a family party! The homestay is a little father out of town than we would have liked, a 20 minute walk into town during the day is lovely but the walk back, especially at night is a little less appealing, taxis are harder to find at night (plenty of motorscooters, which didn't suit us) and its through the market at night. However, someone always waited up to let us in which was reassuring. They also offer bikes which is a nice option as well.
We enjoyed our stay with Sen at her homestay. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the room and bathroom were nicely decorated with plenty of hot water for showers.
Sen had clearly given us a lovely room because it was our honeymoon and we appreciated the rose petals. However, both the bedroom and bathroom wall had a damp problem that left unattractive marks on the wall and, more importantly, made the room smell, which was a shame.
Sen and others we met at the homestay were nice, but we sensed a certain reserve. Having said that, on the day we left Sen invited us to a family celebration, and allowed us the use of a spare bedroom and bathroom for storing our bags and refreshing ourselves before we left at 5pm.
This is a nice enough homestay, but it didn't blow us away. We'd still recommend it though if you're looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay in Hoi An.
We had an amazing stay at Green Tea Homestay, the location is fantastic, just a short walk into the old city. The room was great with a huge bathroom and comfy bed. They were all very helpful with showing us good restaurants to go to and recommending a cooking class. There was always a bike for us to take for a ride around town and they even hired us a scooter without any fuss. Breakfast was good every morning with both western and Vietnamese dishes. I would thoroughly recommend Green Tea Homestay to anyone looking to stay in Hoi An. Thank you to all the staff!
If you're looking for a homestay in Hoi An, look no further. Our time at the Green Tea Homestay was lovely, Sen & her family made us feel welcome from the first minute. Not only is Sen an incredible communicator, she has a contagious kindness & warmth which will never fail to make you smile. Best of luck guys, & I'll happily tell anyone from strangers to family that Green Tea is the only option.
We stayed at Sen's homestay in Hoi An, it was great. The whole place is clean, quiet and really homely. There are free bicycles available and you can hire a good automatic bike for $7 a day.
Sen's family were incredibly welcoming and helpful. It is about 3 minutes by motorcycle to the old town, there are a couple of small shops near by to get drinks and so on. The prices of the drinks in the fridge are good. The price of the pick-up from the airport was cheaper than a normal taxi, we would recommend it. Breakfast was nice there was a choice of eggs, omelette, fruit, coffee and bread. The bathroom was very modern and nice.
