I really enjoyed my stay with Karen-Marie and Ron - the are wonderful hosts. The B&B is charming, very comfortable and laid back. My bed was really comfortable and I slept like a baby. My room was very clean and breakfast was delicious. I was visiting my daughter, a student at UVM in Burlington, and it was worth the drive to stay in this relaxing environment. I especially enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and sharing wine with my hosts. I hope they have an available room next time I head for Vermont.
Karen-Marie was extremely accommodating, made excellent recommendations for the area, and the stay was wonderful.
I had another great stay and will come back again. The food is wonderful and everything else cozy, comfortable, and accommodating. Karla
Des hôtes plus qu'accueillants.
Un endroit que je recommande chaleureusement.
Des lits confortables, un déjeuner pris avec les hôtes avec qui on a envie de devenir amis.
Although I was only able to stay one night, it was so memorable I will be coming back. The house and grounds are stunning. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. I loved the very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and inspiring conversation. Great place!
We really enjoyed the stay at The Sugar Farm, Karen-Marie is a wonderful host and she made our stay very comforting and enjoyable.
Rooms were clean and beautiful, Karen-Marie served us a very delicious breakfast. The BnB is in a very beautiful location, tucked away in woods.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to go back.
My biggest regret was I didn't have more time to stay here. The Sugar Farm is tucked away down a winding road and exudes peace and tranquility. That is actually an apple tree next to the front porch which was laden with beautiful red apples!
My stay was short but lovely - comfortable accommodations, great communication and a fantastic breakfast. It was an easy 35 minute drive back to the airport the next morning although it was hard to leave!!
I would encourage anyone looking for a get away in the area to stay here ~ it was truely lovely.
Karen-Marie's place couldn't be more inviting! A little off the beaten path, no doubt, but what more could you ask for when experiencing beautiful Vermont? St. Albans is only 10 minutes away where you will find a variety of dining opportunities and warm, friendly locals. If Burlington is your game, the trip is only an additional twenty minutes—worth the trip to stay at the Sugar Farm.
The house is very spacious, and opportunities abound to unwind in whatever space suits you best, from the large covered porch, gatherings in the kitchen, and a second-floor lounge area. We've found that the best way to get to know your hosts is over coffee in the morning, and breakfast at Karen-Marie's was no exception.
Our only regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer.
Our stay at Karen-Marie's sugar farm was perfect from preparation, arrival, and the stay as such. We had a fantastic and unforgettable time!
The communication with Karen-Marie was perfect prior to our arrival in Fairfield, and when we arrived, we met one of the nicest persons you can imagine. A warm welcome, perfectly prepared rooms... there is nothing else we could have wished for.
The house itself is beautiful and offers plenty of space, everything is modern, super-clean and nicely furnished.
Our stay continued with nice tips on where to go and what to see in Burlington (which is definitely a city worth a visit - we loved it), two wonderful breakfasts prepared by Karen-Marie, and very enjoyable conversations with Karen-Marie and her husband. We even got to see hummingbirds on the veranda...
A huge thank you to Karen-Marie for having us - you were a perfect host and it was a pleasure to meet you and your husband - and Luke (the family dog). We would love to come back to Vermont soon!
A few friends and I stayed a weekend at the Sugar Farm. The house is beautiful and modern. (The pictures don't do it justice!) Karen Marie is a warm and friendly host and a great cook. She gave us good advice on the area. We skied at Smugglers Notch, which was about a 30 minute drive, and we had dinners in Burlington, which was a little more than 30 minutes from the BNB. The Sugar Farm is off the beaten trail--which was exactly what we wanted--but is was easy to find and worth the drive. Thanks, Karen Marie.
