Entrance of the room. You can notice the extra matress under the bed. So the room is ok for 2 adults and 1 kid
The 25 sqm room is on the second floor of a terrace house, accessible by wooden stairs, with its own bathroom and toilets.
It's furnished with a wooden queen size opium bed, and simple book shelvings and built in wardrobe.
The flooring is made of exotic wood.
The bathroom is simple, with its own toilets, and large shower. The floor and walls are covered with Ceramic tiles.
Kitchen is on the first floor, but it's not public. However there is a fridge in the living room, that can be used to store some food, if needed.
It takes 5 mn walk to go to various hawkers centers (the most well know one is ChompChomp, but there are more, each one with their own speciality ), and good restaurants. There is a wet market 3 mn from the house, open everyday from 6 to 9:00.
The neighborhoood is mostly private housing .
For the faithfull, churches are 10 mn walk away, however you'll need to get a cab if you wish to go to temple.
Singapore is a great place to jog, but for the ones who prefer race track, there is a stadium 15 mn jog from the house, and an olympic size swimming pool .

We enjoyed two very nice days/nights in Singapor while staying with Xavier. He and his wife are very helpful hosts and gave a lot of tips where to eat and what to discover in town. The place is very clean, superb wifi connection and in a safe neigbourhood. (Like probabely everywhere in this country).. So the house is maybe 15 minutes away from Marina Bay by taxi which costs around 15 Singas.
Conclusion: don't miss to stay there!
Perfect stay! Very quiet environment, walking distance to great food places. Didn't get to meet Elisa but Xavier and his helper were as available as needed. And high quality breakfast! Thanks for everything!
Xavier And Elisa
We had a great experience at Elisa and Xavier's place! The house is really nice and their helper was so great and made us very good breakfast every morning. We only met Elisa and Xavier in our last day but it was really nice, they are very welcoming and good people and loved they shared few good experiences with us. The house is not very close to the city but we had no problems as the bus stop is only 5 mins away then another 10 mins to the train station. It is a nice area and would have no problemsto recommend them to my friends. Lovely house, lovely couple, lovely people in Singapore.

We are a French/Taiwanese couple , living in Asia since 1989, and in Singapore since 1994, married to each other for more than 20 years.
We work too much, drink too much coffee (but good one), and I travel too often while Elisa is stationed in Singapore. We became Airbnb addicts, and try now to book as much as possible via Airbnb, when travelling for business or pleasure : you get to know very nice people, and some of the rooms are just stunning...So much different from an hotel room...
We added a very cute 2 bedrooms apartment in central KL, and got some simple renovation to bring it up to standard. Kl is a great city, suffering from traffic jams, but very compact. It's fun to walk around, as the apartment is well located.
2 years ago, we started the painfully long renovation of a 150 years old longere in Brittany. It's coming to an end, it's really nicely made, and we will update pictures very soon. The longere (a long house) is divided in two distinct houses. If you want to unplug yourself for a while, just take a digital break and spend 2 weeks in a laid back place, with a huge property....
23rd of March 2015 is one of the saddest day in our life. We are mourning the passing of Mr Lee Kuan Yew. We will never forget how Singapore has welcome us when we arrived in 1994. Mr LKY has shaped this place and probably has influenced the mindset of the people that live here, in a good manner. Respect to him, RIP LKY.
