The 25 sqm room is on the second floor of a terrace house, accessible by wooden stairs, with its own bathroom and toilets.
It's furnished with a wooden queen size opium bed, and simple book shelvings and built in wardrobe.
The flooring is made of exotic wood.
The bathroom is simple, with its own toilets, and large shower. The floor and walls are covered with Ceramic tiles.
Kitchen is on the first floor, but it's not public. However there is a fridge in the living room, that can be used to store some food, if needed.
It takes 5 mn walk to go to various hawkers centers (the most well know one is ChompChomp, but there are more, each one with their own speciality ), and good restaurants. There is a wet market 3 mn from the house, open everyday from 6 to 9:00.
The neighborhoood is mostly private housing .
For the faithfull, churches are 10 mn walk away, however you'll need to get a cab if you wish to go to temple.
Singapore is a great place to jog, but for the ones who prefer race track, there is a stadium 15 mn jog from the house, and an olympic size swimming pool .

Staying with this family home has been one of the best places we've been, aside from having a great host Elisa has given us tips on places we can see and dine and have accommodated an extra time for us till our flight, kaykay their housekeeper is a great tourist guide ha ha well informed of everything around singapore...will surely miss this place they makes us feel at home..
Xavier and Elisa were absolutely fantastic hosts. Right from landing in Singapore we felt welcome and in good hands. Since our first breakfast was on a Sunday, we were fortunate enough to sit and have a leisurely conversation with them. They shared stories, delicious cheese and tips on what to do in Singapore. That set the stage for what ended up being truly wonderful trip. They also have a very nice helper KayKay and an exceedingly cute dog Kimi who were there to welcome us when Xavier and Elisa were busy.
In Singapore we did most of our commuting using the MTR system. There are a couple of stations nearby and we ended up using Lorong Chuan(Central line) the most. The highlights of the trip were- The stunning food; particularly the sting ray from Chomp Chomp and the crab from House of seafood, Gardens by the bay, Pula Ubin island, Mac Ritchie nature reserve, generally roaming around the city snacking and of course a great stay.
We had a very nice stay at Xavier and Elisa. The room was spacious, cozy and clean with private bathroom. The couple served us great breakfasts with French delicacies. In addition, Xavier and Elisa were very helpful by giving us inside tips about where to go in the city. We definitely recommend this accommodation!!
I just stayed at Xavier and Elisa's for a second time (already that's an endorsement, right?!) Just as before, it was comfortable, friendly, super easy to arrange and exactly what I was looking for. Sadly, the hosts had to be away at short notice, but this caused no problems and the marvellous KayKay was on hand to help out wherever necessary. Great place to stay...
The room was very nice and clean, and the house was very peacefull. A tip:Easy way to gey to the place is to take MTR to Serangoon, and from there bus number 315 to Seraangoon Garden Circus. From there it's only less than 5 minutes.
My husband and me feel so happy and lucky to stay at Elisa and Xavier's house when we travel in Singapore. They gave us very kindly help and professional tour Guide.
Xavier and Elisa's place was a perfect place to stay in Singapore.
It is located in a quiet residential area, that is not far from public transport (MRT+Bus) or a great meal (ChompChomp).
Everything was kept impeccably clean and a wonderful breakfast was made available every morning. I would highly recommend their place to anyone who wishes a quiet and luxurious stay in Singapore.
I Had An Awesome Experience At Elisa S Place. One Of The Best People I Ve Ever Met In My Life. Very Kind N Willing To Help With Anything I Needed. House Itself Was Good. Very Nice And Clean. Close To The Transportations, Excellent Location. Breakfast Was Amazing Too. If I Ever Come To Si Gapore Again, I Will Definitely Come Bk Here. Highly Recommended To Anyone Who Wants To Hav Good Memory In Sgpore!
We spent 2 nigts in this beutiful room at Xavier and Elisa's place!
It's an amazing house in a fancy neighbourhood, everything we could wish for! We had our own bathroom, the house features a small friendly dog, fast and reliable internet, and a breakfast whenever we wanted! The room and the whole house was spotlessly clean, Elisa welcomed us with extra cheerfulness and gave great pieces of advice for exploring the city! Getting to the center is 30 minutes, bus stop is 150 m from the house, which takes you to the MRT in 5 minutes! Unless you are in a hurry, take a singapore travelcard on the airport, and use public transport to get to your dream base for exploring Singapore!
