Stay in a giant dog! That's right, it's a beagle-shaped one-unit inn where being in this doghouse is a GOOD thing and comfortable to boot!
Located at the edge of Cottonwood in rural Idaho, expansive views of prairie grain fields and surrounding mountains are specatcular at any time of year. From the second story deck on clear nights the starry sky garden is equally impressive.
The famed Hells Canyon Gorge of the Snake River is nearby inviting visitors to explore it via jet boat tours spring through fall. Or explore Nez Perce native history and culture at interpretive sites and towns nearby.
Browse the adjacent Dog Bark Park visitor center, gift shop and artist studio where owners Dennis & Frances fashion canine carvings by chainsaw.

Guests have full use of the entire facility

If arriving within our check-in times we look forward to meeting & visiting with you. During your stay we are generally always present in our studio/giftshop during the day. If you need to arrive outside our normal check-in times with advance notice we can accommodate a late arrival.

We are in a very rural area of Idaho where the only public transportation available is Greyhound bus service that comes through town twice a day. Otherwise, transportation is by your own provided vehicle - or horse or foot!

If we can do anything to make your stay especially special we welcome the opportunity to do so.

Amazing place to stay with the best host. Homemade breakfast pastries and local food waiting for you. Such a sweet couple. I definitely want to return with my dogs :)

Dog Bark Park Inn B&B was the perfect halfway place to stop from our trip from Boise to Sandpoint. It is completely unique, yet a very comfortable place to stay. Frances and Dennis are wonderful hosts and their story about Dog Bark Park is very interesting. Definitely worth a visit.

I took my girlfriend (who is obsessed with canines) to experience the dog house for her birthday. This was the most amazing place that we have ever been! The dog is extremely comfortable and has everything you need. The breakfast is phenomenal too. Francis and Dennis were very helpful and an absolute joy to meet. They are truly inspiring people and made us feel so welcome. If you're reading this you're obviously considering staying at the giant dog. Do yourself a favour and book. It's the experience of a lifetime!

This was honestly the best B&B stay we've ever had, and we've stayed in quite a few! Frances and Dennis already have a fantastic thing going with the "stay in a giant dog" concept but they really go above and beyond with the hospitality part. We arrived late on account of running out of gas in a remote location and they were so kind and welcoming on our arrival it made our stress melt away. The breakfast was plentiful, thoughtfully prepared and took our special needs into account. And the tour of the studio the next morning was the highlight of our day.

I will echo what everybody else has said, an unforgettable experience. Frances and Dennis were warm and caring hosts and it's obvious that they genuinely love what they do. The attention to detail around the grounds is hard to miss. We were sad to leave. Yes it's kinda in the middle of nowhere and the highway can be slightly noisy, but the pros vastly outweigh the cons, especially for the price you're paying and the experience you will have. There's a reason why their calendar is so packed with guests. If you find a date you want, book it now- because it will go fast. We can't wait to visit again!

Frances and Dennis were simply the sweetest people on earth. Their stories about how the place came to be and just their past adventures were so wonderful to hear. They were also clearly knowledgeable about the area, because they were able to give us so many recommendations on where to go and what to do. I will admit that I was not used to being in such a rural area, and the lack of mobile service was alarming to me, but eventually, I was able to settle in and enjoy my time there. I'm also a huge dog lover, so I loved all the dog theme items in the room and all the books that were available to us. The art room was amazing too! I'm hoping to come back some day; it was so much fun.

Completely awesome. From the start, I felt like we were road tripping to family friends. We were so happy here, even cooler that it was a giant dog. The place is VERY clean, incredibly cute, and entirely comfortable. As an added bonus, the kids were perfectly entertained (and so happy there is no TV to derail that). They played corn hole, ran thru the yard, built puzzles, and read books (all there). Thank you! Can't wait to come back!
