Island Style Studio by Kailua Beach

House - Private room · Ulupa St, Kailua, HI 96734, United States

The Space

Bright, clean island style studio apartment one block from beautiful Kailua beach. The large studio is attached but separate from the main house with a private entrance inside the beautiful walled in yard. While the unit is separate, we offer use of the full kitchen and laundry room in the main house and access to all the outdoor seating areas, bbq grill, outdoor shower and the tiki bar.

The sunny studio has a private bath with a shower, a queen size bed, sitting area and living area with a futon couch which offers additional sleeping space. There is a mini refrig, microwave, WiFi and Direct TV with movie channels in the unit.

Just bring your suitcases - we even loan out our towles, beach toys and chairs! One guest told me we were 336 steps from one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Our quiet neighborhood, tropical nights and the trade winds make evenings outside extremely pleasant, too. Don't forget to stop and smell the roses; their just outside the studio entrance along with lots of flowers and tropical plants.

Sadly, we had a major water leak in November and had to cancel a reservation, but the bathroom is now beautifully remodeled! It's a lovely spa like bathroom with a shower/tub.

We have two very friendly dogs. Our mini dachshund Maddie will make sure you always feel safe and her pal Lilly is in charge of sharing love and being always happy to see you!

We'd love to share our piece of paradise in Kailua with you!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Beth and John for 5 days and had a great stay. It was our first airbnb experience and we look forward to more. The studio was clean, comfortable, and perfect for two, and located in a beautiful neighborhood one block from Kailua Beach. Beth had fresh baked goodies on multiple mornings and always had great recommendations for food, activities, and surf rentals. The house dogs are super friendly and it was hard not to want to take Lily home!

Beth is a very welcoming hostess with great suggestions, tasty morning treats, The accommodations were clean and comfortable on a quiet side street just a short walk from the beautiful Kailua beach.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Beth's place. The location couldn't have been more perfect- one block from one of the most beautiful beaches on earth. The room was clean and exactly like it looked in the pictures. Our favorite part of the experience was having 24/7 access to beach chairs, mats, boogie boards and coolers. The place is stocked with all the things you could want for the beach!

One thing to keep in mind is that the bathroom and bedroom are connected and not separate. That caught me off guard the first time I went to the bathroom.... Just to be aware of. I saw it in the pictures but didn't really grasp it until we were there.

Overall we had a lovely stay. Great location and the world's most fabulous bacon and cheese scone.

Thanks Beth! Wish we could have stayed for another week.

Kailua is a marvellous place, full of nice restaurants and the beach is just a block from Beth's house: awesome!

We shared with Beth, John and Mike an unforgettable evening, we talked all night long and we had the pleasure of tasting a great burrito! Thank you guys!

We recommend this studio to everyone because it was a great experience for us!

  • Beth and John's place was the perfect location for our Kailua experience. The studio is nicely decorated and very clean and only a very short walk away from a stunning beach. Beth and her husband are great hosts with helpful tips for our stay. Beth is a great baker and we had a chance to try some if her delicious scones for breakfast. Thanks for everything Beth and John :-) Mahalo & Aloha

  • It took me maybe 30 seconds to feel at home at Beth's place in Kailua. The room was clean, well lit and big enough to share with my friend without feeling we were on top of each other. Having a fridge made it easy for us to keep some food and drinks to enjoy at the end of the day and being able to easily park our car outside was also a plus.
Beth is a fun host filled with good recommendations. She helped us set up a surfing class with Cabral, a fantastic instructor if you want to learn how to catch the waves.
And the beach is so close! I look forward to staying there again.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Beth and johns. It is literally 3 or 4 minutes walk to one of the best beaches in America. Kailua town centre is only a short walk to some great eating places. It is a safe place for a great vacation away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We felt totally relaxed staying here, and were invited to a party at Beths house on the Saturday before Christmas. Beth bakes a lot and we had muffins and cakes on several of our days stay. We would recommend staying at Beth and Johns to anyone who wants a great place in excellent surroundings. Aloha and Mahalo to Beth and her family

I am one of the luckiest women around. I live in a beautiful spacious home in Kailua, Hawaii, one block from the beach, with my awesome husband John and two exceptional teenagers. We love to "talk story" (the Hawaiian slang term for chatting) with interesting people, spending time together at the beach and watching football - we're (email hidden) Cardinals fans! I spend my free time in my garden, reading great books, hiking or walking the beach with my dogs, and baking/cooking yummy things. Kailua is a lovely town. I'd love to share our piece of paradise with you! Warmest Aloha Beth
