My boyfriend and I rented the private room from Bart for one night before leaving for an early morning flight. It was close to our condo (which we as airbnb hosts had rented out for the duration of our vacation) and since we wouldn't be staying there long the private room worked for one night.
Bart was friendly and accommodating with check in and there were no issues in this regard. However my boyfriend turned on the lights in the kitchen and there were numerous cockroaches scurrying around! One was even in the microwave! The kitchen desperately needed a deep cleaning also, though the rest of the apartment was pretty neat. The room itself is very simple and sparse but workable. The cockroaches however were not. Needless to say we did not get much sleep that night. The building itself is quite old and in need of repair and updating. I don't know if this roach infestation is building wide or limited to this unit but it definitely needs to be addressed and shouldn't be rented out until the roach issue is taken care of.
There is no roach problem. Since you are an AIrbnb host in the area, it seems like you are spreading malicious rumors so you can attract more people to your unit. I didn't realize you were a host in the neighborhood until I confirmed your reservation. I never even saw your boyfriend. Also, must be noted that you left my room in very bad condition.
Bart was really great and accommodating. This was my first AirBnB experience and it went really well. Great private room right down town. It was really convenient for me and I recommend it to anyone that needs a cheap place to crash with access to pretty much anything downtown. Also really close to BillyBishop Airport!
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Bharat was a great host and helped us a lot. The house is clean & well maintained and looks exactly like the pics shown. The house is in a very convenient location in Toronto. Enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend the place to others.
Bharat is a great person and a fantastic host. He went out of his way to make sure I was always okay and once I was settled in, he let me do my own thing. Highly recommended. Thanks Bharat!
Bharat was very helpful from the moment I had come to Toronto. He helped me find the best way to reach his place by public transport and his place is exactly as pictured so no surprises :-). Wonderful host and does everything he can to be accommodating.
Bharat was a great hostand very friendly. He showed us where all the main landmarks were and even drove us to the Rom.Position is very good and close to Rogers centre and cn tower.
Staying with Bharat was like visiting an old friend! The apartment is ideally located in an artist's community near the harbor and near the subway, restaurants, grocery store - anything you need during a low-key adventure in Toronto. Bharat has plenty of tips to share about what to see and how to traverse the city. Plus he really makes his guests feel at home by sharing his chai, his stories, and his attention to detail!
Bharat is very friendly. He offered a lot of help and gave some good suggestions about the place. The apartment was easy to find and convenient to local transportation. Overall, it was a great experience!!
Bharats house is within walking distance of downtown and also convenient to the subway. He gave us very good directions of how to get to his place and was very easy to get along with. A great first Air B'n'B experience!
