A lovely, nice sized corner room with 2 desks, reading chair. Tea service in room. A quiet place on a dead end street with woods in back. Lots of healthy quick "grab and go" type options for breakfast.

The bedroom is clean, simple, comfy with trees visiting you through each of two windows. The bath is just in the hallway, full shower and tub...all amenities provided. Just down another hall, you can enter a large open, light space to enjoy a view of the woods, yoga, meditation, exercise, or reading.
You have full access to the Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room. Feel free to use dishes, pots and pans, silverware, herbs, spices, and cooking oils.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy being a tourist in my own town. Louisville has much to offer anyone interested in art, walking trails, architecture, restaurants etc. I'm always excited to share what I love with visitors.
From the front, my street looks like any other neighborhood full of little brick houses. But in the back, facing the woods, you'd hardly know you were in the same neighborhood. You can walk through the woods and come out onto a sweet little walking trail near Bear Grass Creek. There are other pleasant walking places nearby.
How Convenient! There is a bus stop just two blocks away. (Great for short distance travel in Lyndon/St. Matthews /Crestwood area, but not all that great for downtown, late nighte etc. ) In walking distance: Walgreens, Subway, Domino's, Sushi to Go, Thornton's, Oriental Grocery store, Barber Shop,Hair Salon, Small Cafe. 5 minutes by car to major interstate access in all directions. 10 minutes drive to 3 major Shopping Centers, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, & a movie theater.
L'Ville is fast becoming a great city for bicyclists and I am a great supporter of the trend. I have one "loner bike" and encourage bicycle riders to bring theirs and check out some of our fantastic bike routes. Also have car services like Uber, Taxify for on call rides.
Other Things to Note
"Charlie" is a 5 year old Golden/Shepard mix. She's pretty shy and will probably just stay in her (my) room. L'Ville is worth a day or two extra on a bus. trip or "drive through". We have some unique offerings along the waterfront, Old L'Ville, Bourbon Trail, Parklands of Flyods Fork, Botanical Garden and 21C Museum Hotel worth seeing!
I Just hope I'm a good host and you're a good guest.
Of course, ;no smoking in the house, but feel free to smoke outside on the deck. No drugs. No pets unless we've talked about this ahead of time. No cooking in the room, just tea or coffee please.
Warm, comfortable home! Jan's place is on a quiet street in Louisville, close to downtown. Wonderful room and killer breakfast in the am. Jan's is a warm and inviting guest, do not hesitate to book, you will not regret! Thanks again for the southern hospitality Jan ~ Dave
This has been my best airbnb experience to date. Jan was a fantastic host and immediately made me feel welcome and right at home. I have been completely spoiled by her superb breakfasts over the past 2 weeks. Don't pass up the smoothies! I enjoyed chatting with Jan each day when I got home and enjoying the beautiful backyard and porch. She also gave me great ideas for places to visit while I was there and I was never disappointed. I will most definitely be back to stay if I come through Louisville again!
Had a very nice overnight at Janice's home. Clean and quiet neighborhood. I hope to stay there again!
Excellent accommodations, very clean and quiet. Host is very personable and offered many amenities with the room. Would recommend to others looking for a great place to stay!
Yet another comfortable and quiet stay at Jan's. Great breakfast bowls and smoothies, good conversation, and fun times with Charlie dog.
The stay with Janice was my first time using Air B & B. The stay was perfect. There was an electric kettle in my room for tea, a very sweet and lovely Charlie(dog), delicious coffee in the morning with hot oatmeal, grapefruit and other fruits and a smoothie to go. Janice was very accommodating and kind. I really enjoyed talking with her and that she was open to my conversation. Her house and the room I stayed in for the weekend were very charming. Sidenote, her decorative style was inspiring for how i would want my space at home to feel to myself and others. It was like visiting a familiar place from the start.
I look forward to booking and staying with her my next visits to Louisville. Thank you Janice.
