A lovely, nice sized corner room. Nearby access to bus service, major interstate routes, major shopping centers all within 10 minutes. Large deck facing woods, walking trail. Healthy Bfast
Really quiet at night with woods in back, dead end street
The bedroom is clean, simple, comfy with trees visiting you through each of two windows. The bath is just in the hallway, full shower and tub...all amenities provided. Just down another hall, you can enter a large open, light space to enjoy a view of the woods, yoga, meditation, exercise, or reading.
You have full access to the Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room. Feel free to use dishes, pots and pans, silverware, herbs, spices, and cooking oils.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy being a tourist in my own town. Louisville has much to offer anyone interested in art, walking trails, architecture, restaurants etc. I'm always excited to share what I love with visitors.
From the front, my street looks like any other neighborhood full of little brick houses. But in the back, facing the woods, you'd hardly know you were in the same neighborhood. You can walk through the woods and come out onto a sweet little walking trail near Bear Grass Creek. There are other pleasant walking places nearby.
How Convenient! There is a bus stop just two blocks away. (Great for short distance travel in Lyndon/St. Matthews /Crestwood area, but not all that great for downtown, late nighte etc. ) In walking distance: Walgreens, Subway, Domino's, Sushi to Go, Thornton's, Oriental Grocery store, Barber Shop,Hair Salon, Small Cafe. 5 minutes by car to major interstate access in all directions. 10 minutes drive to 3 major Shopping Centers, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, & a movie theater.
L'Ville is fast becoming a great city for bicyclists and I am a great supporter of the trend. I have one "loner bike" and encourage bicycle riders to bring theirs and check out some of our fantastic bike routes. Also have car services like Uber, Taxify for on call rides.
Other Things to Note
"Charlie" is a 5 year old Golden/Shepard mix. She's pretty shy and will probably just stay in her (my) room. L'Ville is worth a day or two extra on a bus. trip or "drive through". We have some unique offerings along the waterfront, Old L'Ville, Bourbon Trail, Parklands of Flyods Fork, Botanical Garden and 21C Museum Hotel worth seeing!
I Just hope I'm a good host and you're a good guest.
Of course, ;no smoking in the house, but feel free to smoke outside on the deck. No drugs. No pets unless we've talked about this ahead of time. No cooking in the room, just tea or coffee please.
Another great trip in staying at Jan's. She's was under the weather but is as gracious and helpful as always.
Ended up not needing this trip in. Nonetheless Jan was great with communication. Hope she braved the snow and cold weather well!
Janice's wisdom includes welcoming intuition...so she knows you need a wholesome and delicious breakfast. Her home is the delightful combination of extremely clean yet filled with the collectibles of a life well lived. She offered me a pro-tip about the Speed Museum's temporary satellite space in Nulu. Best of all, Janice is heartwarming company.
Janice really is a super host! She's accommodating, offers a great breakfast and her rooms are very comfortable. Great location, safe, easy parking...couldn't ask for more!
Jan was out of town for this trip, but all went smoothly. She very kindly opened her house to me following a pickup from the airport. My home away from home!
This was an extended stay with Jan and Charlie dog while we had an event on campus. Jan's open and cozy home and first-rate hospitality make my travel life so much easier.
Janice is a fantastic host. My boyfriend and I only stayed for a short time but we felt right at home. This was our first airbnb experience and it set the bar very high. Glad to have a super comfy bed and hot tea on a chilly January evening.
