Brian was a good host. He accepted my reservation at the last minute and was able to meet all my needs.
Brian and Phyllis responded really quickly to our booking request as it was really short notice and late in the day. Brian followed up with a text with his phone number and made us very welcome when we arrived. The room was small but very clean and comfortable and Brian offered to get breakfast ready as early as we wanted.
An amazing place to stay and it's close to lots of places to see and the Dart!
O anfitrião era muito simpático e prestável, mas as instalações deixam muito a desejar. O quarto e casa de banho eram pequeníssimos, mal conseguíamos mover-nos
I liked staying with Brian and Phyllis as their home met all my needs. Basically I was outdoors most of the day and needed an affordable bed nearby. The double room and bathroom were bright and sunny in the morning. The heating was on from evening throughout the night, which is a big plus for me - I been cold too many times staying in Ireland. I slept well. Everything you need is within in a five to ten minute walk (shops, transportation, the seaside.) I did feel the house had quite thin walls as I was able to hear a lot of conversation and goings on from the lower level of the house, but I did not mind as this seems to be quite common in Ireland and I generally wear ear plugs a lot when traveling.
Brian and Phyllis were very welcoming and though we were only there for a very short stay, it was very pleasant. The location is great and the breakfast was very good!
Very comfortable. The location turned out to be terrific for our 3 day stay. The LEAP visitor transit pass we bought at the airport SPAR store made the train ride into town economical as well as fun. And the neighborhood has great food and interesting things to see -- especially for James Joyce fans.
