Michael's backyard cottage and garden are beautiful! He is an extremely helpful and welcoming host. The location within walking distance to the Bart station was very helpful. The only thing I would change would be to have had more time to chat with Michael. We were rushed to get to our dinner plans, and had a brief one-night stay. Everything was wonderful.
The cottage (email hidden). I took more afternoon naps here than I could have imagined it was that peaceful. The shots are dreamy. You are literally sleeping in the middle of a fragrant garden. When we stayed lilacs and lemon blossoms delighted the senses. The pepper berry tree outside the window leaves amazing shadows. Great location. Walk over the bridge to Glen Park and there is a mind-blowing market there.
Michael & Catherine couldn't have been nicer. We absolutely recommend this secret getaway.
Our stay at Michael's was great. We had a lot of privacy in the little cottage in the garden, and it was great to hang out by the lemon tree. Everything was clean and cozy, including the bathroom that is in the house. Michael was a great host, even though I did not get to see him until the end of our stay.
The neighbourhood too was really pleasant... I heard from a local that it might be one the warmest parts of town. Not too far from the heart of the Mission district and easy access to public transportation.
I would go back there anytime!
We stayed here in January and Michael and Catherine were fantastic hosts. Both are very friendly, accommodating and informed us on the best local places to go. The cottage is awesome, clean, cozy and comfortable. Their situated right near a train station (BART) which is literally a 5 min walk and to get to the city center is 5-10 min train ride. Definitely recommend people stay here, you wont regret it.
Michael's place i really cool and Michael too! The giant bed is very confortable and the little garden is nice.
It´s a perfect place to stay in SF.
The Cozy Cottage was the perfect spot for a couple of jet-lagged kiwis with 2 days in San Fran. Close to the BART, quiet and tranquil. Wonderful hosts with great advice on local spots to eat out and explore. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay!
Michael and Cathy were very welcoming and accommodating. I had to find a place for a friend coming in from out of town, and they worked with an inconvenient flight arrival time and were very flexible with check-in. I also appeciated how prompt and communicative they were by email.
I am very happy I found this place in the Glen Park neighborhood for my first visit to San Francisco: it's just a short 10 minute walk to the BART station from which you can get to all kinds of places in the Bay area and specifically it is but one BART stop away from the Mission District neighborhood which is a most cool place to explore and get good eats- thanks to Michael for his recommendation of this neighborhood (email hidden) comedy show there which I really enjoyed. Additionally from this same BART station it's just a 20 minute trip to SFO airport.
Just a couple of blocks from this Glen Park BART station is a breakfast and coffee restaurant called : "Higher Grounds" where I ate breakfast every day- highly recommended and just around the corner is a healthy grocery store.
Michael and Catherine have a very nice place, are nice people- I really enjoyed my stay!
The reservation was canceled 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I rented this cottage when I was on a long drive from Los Angeles to Portland. I decided at the last minute that I was probably too fatigued to make the whole drive, pulled over at a rest stop, and went on the Airbnb app. Michael returned my message promptly, and I headed over.
The place is clean, they're great hosts (who explained the place thoroughly), and the place itself is damn cute. Now I want to stay here every time I stay in San Francisco!
