THINGS TO NOTE
-We keep our price low because we like hosting people from around the world and helping them have a great stay in DC.
-If you are very allergic to dogs and/or cats, this is not a place for you, as we have one of each. Our dog is friendly, but she barks the first time anyone comes through the front door. That said, the animals do not dwell in the guest areas.
-You will have a private entrance that allows flexibility to come and go; as long as you are reasonably quiet, it will not disturb us if you come in late.
-We get up at 7am on weekdays (and leave by 7:45am) and 8am on weekends. We try our very best to keep quiet and tread lightly, but it's an old house and certain floorboards make noise. If you are going to need to sleep in late and you need ultimate quiet to do so, you may want to consider other hosts. This is a small, cozy room and it bests suits people who are here to be out and about!
-We have added a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini-fridge.You can come upstairs to do dishes or get anything else you need to have a light meal. Also, we don't mind people use our kitchen or eating in our dining room as long as they are considerate.
-We love having guests here but we also have two girls (7 & 9) and so of course expect respect and consideration. In return, we will do the same for you and will help you make the most of your time in DC!

Excellent accommodations and a gracious host make for a delightful experience. Room was clean and close to most attractions on foot (but wear good, comfortable shoes). Host was knowledgeable about the area and willing to offer suggestions or guidance when asked.
The room is great, has everything you will need, the wifi is fast, room is clean and warm, the Check-in instruction from host is clear and easy to follow.location is a safe area.
We like the room, it's valuable. We highly recommend it.
This was my first experience with airbnb, and I don't know how it could have gone better.
The house is located just a short distance from the Capitol in a quiet neighborhood with good public transit access. The suite is cozy and clean, and the hosts are very nice people that made my son and I feel welcome immediately.
I'm already trying to figure out how we can make another trip to DC, since I know of a perfect place for lodging now.
Bill and Nicole could not have been more welcoming, hospitable and considerate of the two weary travelers from Michigan. The suite was cozy and comfortable, well appointed and well equipped. Located just a 20 minute walk away from the capitol and with eateries even closer, we enjoyed the location as well as the accomodations, and the hospitality. We'll be back one day.
Both Ken and Nicole were very warm and welcoming. They gave us recommendations on the DC area as well as directions. The room was cute, comfortable and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. If your looking for a nice comfortable clean place within walking distance of all the major attractions. I would highly recommend this place!
The location was very convenient. The room was neat and clean. The hosts were very nice and welcoming, it was like staying with old friends. I like to walk, so getting to Eastern Market, the Hill, or Union Station was easy, less than 20 minutes. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, quiet too. I plan to come back for my next trip to DC.
Great place to stay. The room is nice, clean, warm, and very comfortable. Location is very convenient - 20minute walk from train station or the Capitol; with grocery shops, restaurants, bus stops, and bike rentals in close neighbourhood.
Nicole and Ken are friendly and great hosts. Highly recommending this place.
The room is in a good location in DC, a nice 20 min walk from Union Station. It was clean and warm, and we were able to come and go as we liked thanks to the separate entrance. Nicole was very accommodating, and the neighbourhood was nice and quiet.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it literally couldn't have been better. Ken and Nicole were incredibly gracious and kind. Not only did they help out with numerous things, they were enjoyable to spend time with. I highly recommend staying in their home.
Clean, tidy, and extremely comfortable. Great location as well. Highly recommended.
