Architect designed, ( nominated in 2011 for the Governor's Award for Architecture in Cayman) newly-built home on the canals of North Sound, make this the perfect private hideaway for a couple wanting to get away from it all.
Situated on a corner canal lot with water on two sides, there's a beautiful dock to watch sunrises, sunsets, jumping fish, and green parrots flying by. Or hop in our new toy- a 2 seat kayak to explore the canals and the nearby marine reserve in North Sound- just a quick paddle away.
One bedroom with a king size bed on main floor (loft is for owner's storage), open style kitchen and living area with cathedral ceiling. Kitchen fully stocked, cable TV, wireless internet and washer/dryer.
The house has an indoor-outdoor feel with a large deck off the living room. Barbeque on deck or dock surrounded by the lovely garden.
15 minute drive to Georgetown.
5 minute drive to shopping- groceries, liquor store, pharmacy, bank, hardware store.
7 minute drive to the closest beach. (a rental car is highly recommended)
Near Historic Bodden Town, Spotts Beach and some great restaurants.
If you are looking to party-hearty in 7-Mile Beach then this place is not for you.
But if you are looking for a great little getaway that offers peace and tranquility, unique flora and fauna, and all the sunshine you could want, then this is the place for you.
Your own perfect home in the sun.
Nancy and I had a wonderful week at Casa Kosa. The beautiful and cosy house is situated away from the tourist area, offering a peaceful and quite home away from home right next to the water that leads to the open sea. The sunrise view from the patio is memorable. To top it all, our hosts, Peter and Mary Anne, are such a nice couple who are well travelled and have been sailing extensively for over five years on their 40 some foot sail boat. We thoroughly enjoyed our get together that evening over a glass of wine on the patio. Thanks Peter and Mary Anne for your hospitality!!!

It is a very quiet area of where this beautiful house is.
The house is fully furnished, nothing is missing, Mary and Peter, who live on their boat next door, are very friendly and helpful.
We were also very pleased that we were able to use their paddle boat. This accommodation i can highly recommend
We had a wonderful experience staying here! Mary Anne & Peter were very accommodating. They gave us use of towels and a cooler so we could pack lunches to bring to the beach. We even took the kayak out on the canals for a morning paddle. Their place is clean and comfortable, and also affordable. I would say it's off the beaten path, however Georgetown isn't exactly a hopping center of town and the 7 Mile stretch of beach isn't the only beach around. We liked being a little more central on the island. It allowed us to drive 25 min to 7 Mile beach for scuba diving or 40 min up to Rum Point to relax by the water in the shade, or else to one of the south beaches when it was raining over in the east. We would definitely stay here again!
My wife and I loved every minute of our stay. Mary Anne and Peter were fantastic. Peter met us at the car rental and escorted us to the house so he could help us get our bearings. When we got to the house and he showed us around, it was quickly evident that he and Mary Anne had thought of everything. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us on the counter, maps of the island and magazines with restaurants and menus on the coffee table, and a pay-as-you-go phone waiting on the charger in the bedroom. (The phone was a life-saver for last minute changes to our excursions!) There was a bin with beach chairs and a beach blanket at our disposal, which was great because we had been thinking we would have to buy chairs when we got to Grand Cayman. Everything we could have thought to ask for was provided for us--all the way from the washer and dryer to the electric teapot. The bed was comfortable, the deck was relaxing, the house was beautiful, and there were many other amenities that we didn't have time to make use of. Mary Anne and Peter were fantastic and made us feel right at home, allowing us our privacy, but making themselves available to us if needed. This vacation was absolutely perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful piece of Paradise.
We definitely enjoyed our stay at Mary Anne's and Peter's and would recommend their place to anyone interested in a relaxing Caymen vacation. Great location, beautiful property, well equipped home, comfortable bed. We appreciated that Mary Anne and Peter offered us our privacy but were nearby if we needed anything.
Peter met us at the airport to make sure we would find our way to the house, which was great & a nice gesture. He also was very helpful in trying to get the washing machine to work when it broke down, which was only a slight inconvenience. I appreciated that we did not have to bring towels or shampoo & conditioner, and Mary Anne even had bug spray and sunblock available. Another thoughtful touch, a bottle of wine in the fridge and cream for our coffee (since we arrived on Sunday and most everything is closed).
This was our first airbnb experience and we couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better location. Great holiday overall!
We visited Grand Cayman for a week for our honeymoon, and we don't think we could have found a better place to stay. The house is a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Beach, which is what we like. There is a small shopping center nearby with a grocery store, liquor store and ATM. No section of the island was more than an hour drive away, though there is plenty to see closer than that. Keep in mind that you will most likely want a rental car.
The house itself is absolutely beautiful and unique, with all the comforts of home. Our favorite part was the tandem kayak - we were able to take it out and explore North Sound.
As for the hosts, Peter and Mary Anne are wonderful hosts and two of the kindest people we have ever met. We can't imagine staying anywhere else if we ever have the chance to return to Grand Cayman.
Fantastic hosts and a fantastic home to stay at.
Mary Anne even came out to the airport to meet us.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in Grand Cayman!
The reservation was canceled 75 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We visited Grand Cayman for 7 days in February. Our trip was great. The beaches were safe and clean, the waters were crystal clean and the snorkeling was world class. Mary Anne and Peter were wonderful hosts. They met us at the house and gave us information about the island, suggestions about the beaches to visit, restaurants to try and sites to visit during our stay. They provided us with those little personal touches that made our first Airbnb experience remarkable. We appreciated thier kindness and attention. The house is magnificent. Mary Anne and Peter have designed an island house that is one of a kind. We especially enjoyed the porch where we took our morning coffee and enjoyed star gazing and a glass of wine in the evening. The house is in a central location that is close to everything but away from the crowds. There is a small shopping center with a grocery store and a liquor store close-by. I highly recommend staying ith Mary Anne and Peter.
We spent 8 days in Cayman and I just can say.. what a paradise !!
The island in incredible, we felt in love.
And what can I tell about Peter and Mary Anne? they are wonderful !! What a big couple. Really nice, cute.. I have no words. They will help you in every thing and detail you could need.
The house: I have to say that is even prettier than in the pics. I should insist them to sell for us. ;) Really, spacious, cool, nice.. a place to stay !!
We will miss, also, Koda, the dog.
Without any doubt, we will come back..soon.
