Mary Anne and Peter were fantastic hosts. They communicated with us quickly over email, made us feel at home immediately when we arrived, the house was spotlessly clean, and they even left a bottle of white wine in the fridge for us (we used it to cook some fresh fish we bought at the market!). The house is adorable, with tons of windows for light and to let the breeze in, with fans and a powerful A/C to keep cool at night, and a big kitchen that we used almost every day. It was perfect for what we were looking for: a romantic getaway for two.
The house is on the canals in a quiet neighborhood, so we rented a car. It was about a ~30 minute drive from Seven Mile Beach and Ambassador Divers which we drove daily, and Mary Anne helped us avoid traffic by taking the scenic route at strategic times. Even though it's not "on the beach", we just had to walk a few feet north to the North Sound to watch stunning and romantic sunsets over the water. There were some pesky mosquitoes at dusk that seemed to ignore the OFF that Mary Anne and Peter provided, but it wasn't a big problem at all.
Overall I loved staying at this wonderful house and will definitely go back.
Peter was waiting for us when we arrived. Maryanne had sent us instructions and communicated on how to reach their lovely home. " A piece of paradise" fits it for us. We wish we were still there. Quite, breezy home. Great deck for eating. It was close enough to town to drive and get groceries, snorkle grab a bite out. Secluded enough to get away from the hussle and bussle. While Peter and Mary anne were close by if we had any questions, they were never intrusive. The home was comfortable and well appointed. Had a relaxing and enjoyable time in their home. Hated to leave.
We had a wonderful time at Casa Kosa. The home was beautiful and waterfront deck was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!
Peter and Mary Anne were wonderful hosts! Their house was perfect for us. We already looking forward to a return visit.
We had the most wonderful time in Mary Anne and Peter's home!
We didn't get to meet them, unfortunately, but they made sure their neighbor Carol was available in case we needed.
She had left breakfast food for us in the fridge, and a bottle of wine was expecting us on the kitchen counter. How sweet is that?!
The house is exactly as described, gorgeous and well equipped!
It is also conveniently located 10 minutes drive from a big supermarket.
Driving around is easy, a lot of beautiful beaches within a short drive distance. We really recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay away from the touristic places, enjoy some peace and quiet, also having the possibility to easily explore the East End of the Island. Nothing is really far when you drive from the house. Rum Point is only around 35 minutes away for instance.
If we ever go back to Grand Cayman we'll definitely book again with Mary Anne and Peter!
About the Host, Mary Anne And Peter
Hi Friends. We will be happy to welcome you to the Cayman Islands. We are both Canadians who live and work here. A few years ago we did a 2 year clockwise circumnavigation of the Caribbean in our 42ft classic wooden sailboat. Our first port of call was Guatemala and our last was Panama. Our house is a reflection of our love of sailing, cruising and traveling. When we returned here we bought this lovely lot and continued to live aboard our boat while we built our small dream house. When we rent our house we either travel, house sit or live aboard. It's paradise here and we want to share our house and meet guests from all over the world.
