Nick is very professional and gave warmly welcome to us. He showed every detail and also recommend us to the city view with lovely map. We are very appreciate the big screen TV in the room and Nick had already prepare a lot of movie in the hard disk. It is very good experience in Dunedin!
The neighborhood is not too far of a drive from Dunedin by car, which is nice. It's about 30 minutes from the Otago peninsula as well. As for the house itself, it's pretty old, cold, and drafty at night (especially going to the bathroom). The room I stayed in was clean, but it smelled a bit musty. For the price, it was okay. Check in was overall fine. Wasn't too keen on the fact that I was woken up the day I left with construction (and wasn't told it was happening) but I guess it's good they are doing some remodeling on the property.
Hey Shay, thanks for the warm feedback; we have put a heater, electric blanket, another blanket & a duvet in each room to ensure a warm stay for our guests; Dunedin is the oldest city in NZ with houses nearly 100 years old; it's probably different standards from other countries such as USA or UK; we have fully insulated the house & added new thick carpets on each floor on top of personal heating in the room & the bathroom; compared to other houses in the area we are confident it is high standard; sorry about the construction work (replacing carpet) the tradesman show up little bit earlier than Check-Out time; it will not happen again; enjoy your holiday!
Nick is very friendly and helpful. The house is vet nice and well (email hidden) has well equipment kitchen and enough beds in (website hidden) is comfortable for family too.We had a happy vacation in this house and Dunedin .Thank you, nick.
Nick was very helpful! The room was tidy and cozy, he also offers the recommended restaurant, takeaways, and site views in Dunedin. Last but not least, he is quite friendly and made us really treated as home!
Nick was great. He was helpful and kept the place clean and well organized. The location was good. The place itself although clean was worn out. It looked like Nick was fixing things regularly but he needs a bigger budget. Great for backpackers because of the multiple rooms and the cost. It would have been great to have a place to sit outside in the morning or evening but the yard was not suitable. Because the property is worn out, Nick had a lot of extra work to do so we give him extra credit for his efforts.
Nick welcommed us in a very friendly way. He explained us with some documentation what to do, see and taste around Dunedin. This B&B is well located, close to hiway coming from south. The house belongs to a series of old houses, very typical of old Dunedin. The interior was worn out with a serious lack of maintenance and looked more as a backpacker for budget travelers than a privately owned B&B. Unfortunately, the matress was smelling very bad despite perfume sprayed over. I'am not sensitive to many things, I went thru army etc.. and had the opportunity to sleep in AirBnB homes over the 5 continents, but this bed was the worst I ever had.
Nick was great. Very accommodating and made sure our stay was pleasant as possible.
Also had a huge TV with lots of movies to choose from which helped as it was raining one of the days we were there.
Would recommend staying there.
