QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE:
1. Are Linens Included?
Yes... clean and new linens are provided for you... no worries about having to bring that with you. Save the space in your bag! :)
2. Do you provide me with keys for the apartment?
Yes... I provide you with two sets of keys ... and have family in the city to help you if you locked yourself out.
3. Is a laundrymat near by?
There are numerous ones ... all within a 1-minute walk from the apartment.
4. Is there any additional fees?
No... I don't charge any extra fees... as a lot of other places do.
5. How do I know if the apartment is going to be clean?
I have a cleaner come in between guests... ALL PAID BY ME ... so no hidden cleaning fees for you.
6. Can I cook and use the kitchen?
Cook your heart out! Feel free to use whatever you'd like... as well as don't feel as if you need to buy the basics... butter, sugar, salt, etc... as you can use mine without any charges.
7. Are there a lot of stairs to get into the apartment/building?
The apartment is on the fifth floor.. so it is a walk-up but really not bad at all... plus helps you work off all that amazing food you are eating in Little Italy, Soho, and Chinatown! :)
8. Do you have wifi? Computer?
There is a computer in the living room, and free wifi in the house!
ANYWAY... whew... long-winded perhaps.. but I hope that helps. Feel free to contact me and ask any questions you may have.

There are not pets allowed.
Only the people who rent the apartment (and provided identification to me prior) are allowed in the apartment. If this rule is broken, you will be asked to leave immediately as you will have voided the short-term lease and agreement you entered with this renter and airbnb. You will also lose your security deposit.
Also, please take out the garbage on a daily basis to ensure that the place is kept clean.
We´re really pleased with our stay in this apartment.
Location is very good, close to several subway stations and lots of restaurants.
Nice neighbourhood, close to both "Little Italy" and "Chinatown"
Apartment was clean and tidy, even though quite small, space was sufficicant for 4 adults.
We also got good use for the cellphone left in the apartment, good for calling taxis or making dinner reservations.
Useful information for eldery or sickly people - apartment is on 5th floor, there is no elevator.
Everything was fine. We had a great time here.
The key Pickup was easy and without Problems.
The Appartement was clean and the neighborhood was cool!
Great Restaurants and shops, the next Metro only 3 minutes away.
The Informations about New York from Roberto were very helpful! Thank you for everything!
In der Küche alles da was man brauch.
This was our first time using Air BnB and we had a great experience with Roberto’s. He was easy to contact and approachable and can organize cheaper Broadway tickets.
We are a family with two ‘teenagers’ (11 and 15) and it is therefore ideal to have 2 separate bedrooms. The living room was rather small, but was absolutely satisfying our needs. We stayed already before in NYC and know that the hotel rooms are quite small. In other words Roberto’s rooms equals to three hotel rooms. What I liked most, was the sun shining into the apartment the whole day. Of course, white curtains are not ideal, but it worked out very well (and we saw lying around dark lamella curtains, perhaps it is the intention to install these soon). The apt was well equipped, however, we never cooked, there are enough restaurants in walking distance (Chinatown, Little Italy and Soho).
We visited NYC in October for 6 days and did not need any air condition or heating, cannot judge such needs. Most importantly, the apartment was clean, comfortable, and provided exactly as advertised. Roberto provided a cell phone which we took out to google shops, restaurants, bars, museums etc while running around. VERY helpful and for free! Asking my children about pos and negs: son: best was the fast and well working WLAN and city tips (Roberto provided via e-mail), daughter: toaster for continental breakfast and the comfortable (website hidden) key pick up: no problem at all, you get a detailed description and it is a 15 minute walk or 2 min cab drive away. We can definitely recommend this apartment for families and will book again when back in NYC!
I have nothing but praise for my first airbnb experience. Roberto's apartment is exactly as promised but the extra effort given to make you feel welcome, comfortable and excited about your stay is exceptional.
The system for picking up the keys is super easy and the instructions were totally clear and easy to follow.
The pack of information sent in advance of our stay was very comprehensive and was obviously put together with a lot of thought and care.
The location is great - right on the meeting point of Chinatown and Little Italy.
Although the five flights of stairs is a bit of a mission when lugging up your suitcase we were soon running up and down with no effort but wouldn't recommend if you have baby buggies etc.
The apartment itself is well appointed with very comfortable beds and attractive decor. It was spotlessly clean.
Unfortunately we were there on a business trip so weren't able to take advantage of Roberto's offer of reduced price theatre tickets - an offer he made on a daily basis in case our schedule freed up.
All in all, a great place, a great host and I thoroughly recommend it.
A bit of a tourist trap…
Don’t get me wrong but I was indeed disappointed when I arrived at Roberto’s place:
According to his description and pictures this should have been a very nice place to stay but in reality it was all the contrary as his description and pictures are deceptive:
-Cramped bedrooms and bathroom
-Most walls are full of stains and paint touch up
-Very bad wifi
-TV with almost no (interesting) channels
-Curtains like rags which let all light through
The place is (very) hot and (very) noisy. It is impossible to sleep without earplugs as the open space between the airco blocks and the window frame is filled with cardboard and if the noisy airco is not on you hear all 24h street noises as if your bed was downstairs in the middle of the road…
One of the airco blocks leaks its condensation water inside the apartment on the windowsill which is rotten as is part of the wall just underneath it…
On a cellular phone which is available in the apartment and which you can use to access internet or contact Roberto we found many e-mails from previous guests with questions / remarks / complaints, quite the contrary of what the advertisement suggests.
On the other side the general area is nice (but maybe not the best part of Mott street) and Roberto’s welcome guide is nice and handy.
Altogether the place is overpriced and due to all the above we decided to move away earlier to find some rest in a hotel nearby which appeared to be cheaper (and breakfast was included) and roomier and which offered quite rooms with two double beds and perfect airco…
