About This Listing
Hi there, I'm Joanne. I live in a cosy 3 bedroom house on the northside of the city which is close to all amenities- parks, supermarkets, shops, shopping centres, pubs, restaurants, banks and post office. It would be great to have you stay. My house is relatively close enough to the city centre which is only a bus ride away.
***I only take female guests***
From the airport
My house is approximately 10 minutes from the airport and the most convenient way to get here is by taxi. There is no direct bus from the airport from my house but the taxi rates are quite reasonable
Transport to city centre
The bus stop for the number 9 bus is across the street from my house and comes every 10-15 minutes. The bus to the city centre takes around 20-30 minutes however my house is only 6km to the city centre. The traffic is not so great in Dublin! You can also take other buses to the city centre which are quicker but the bus stop is further away.
There is also a bus that you can take to a very large shopping area in the suburbs called Blanchardstown Shopping Centre if you are really into shopping. There is a bus that you can take from across the street that goes to Blanchardstown village
All in all, I live about a 10 minute drive from the airport and a 20 minute bus ride into town. You can also take a taxi which takes around 10-15 minutes.
My house is situated close enough to the city centre and the bus leaves you very close to all the hotspots such as Trinity College, Temple Bar, botanic gardens and right on O'Connell street. I love meeting people from different walks of life and have done a fair bit of travelling myself so am open to different cultures and ways of living. I am also very used to hosting people and will try and help in any way to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible.
The room itself can cater for 2 people if necessary. It has it's own television with cable, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is also a study table in the room with a lamp and a small fridge to store drinks/fruit/snacks The bathroom is equipped with an electric shower and is shared.
There is free WI-FI in the house and there is full use of the kitchen and living area, there is also a backgarden.
I provide clean linen and towels and you are welcome to help yourself to breakfast in the morning-cereal, fruit, tea, cofee or toast. You are also welcome to use the kitchen if you like and store food in the cupboard and the main fridge.
I would be happy to answer any of your questions so if there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to ask me.
If you would like to book it would be great to know something about you first before you place a reservation, plus your arrival time on the day if possible
There are several buses you can tske to the city centre from my neighbourhood. The bus stop is literary across the road from my house. The airport is close to my house approx 8 km and the easiest and most effecient way to get there is by taxi which will set uou back around €16. Everything you need is within walkng distance-supermarket, shops, local parks. The botanic gardens and glasnevin cemetary is within walking distance

Joanne made me feel so welcome the her house. Even was watching TV with her in da evening. The estate was nice and quite. The number 9 bus dropped me off just a 1 minute walk from her house and it goes every 15 mixtures into the city centre drops you off on oconnoll street.
As a first timer of Airbnb, as well as being in Ireland, I absolutely enjoyed my stay with Joanne! She was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. I also enjoyed our evening chats. I would definitely stay here again as I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks again Joanne!
Joanne was an excellent host and I truly enjoyed my stay with her in Dublin. She was more than thoughtful and friendly. Her home was a short bus or taxi ride from the city centre. The room was very comfortable. I would definitely consider staying with her again should I return to Dublin!
Joanne was extremely nice and welcoming. Only problem was how far away from the city it is. Solid 20 minute bus ride, and those end at 11:30 pm. Would stay with her again, but not the location.
Joanne is the best hostess ever. She kindly picked my friend and I up from the airport as well as made us tea and coffee when we arrived at her house. She gave us helpful tips about getting around Dublin and what to see. Her lovely house was clean and located in a quaint little neighborhood. It was just a short 20 minute busride to Dyblin city center. I enjoyed my stay with Joanne tremendously, I'd stay with her again in a heartbeat. Thanks Joanne!

About the Host, Joanne
Hi there, I'm Joanne. I live in a cosy 3 bedroom house on the Northside of the city. My house is very close to all amenities such as supermarkets, post office, dry cleaners, newsagents, banks etc. It is also is quite close to the city centre which is only a bus ride away. I've been living in Dublin all my life so i know the city very well.
I am used to hosting people and really enjoy it. I work as a Social Worker in the area of Family Mediation-this too has led me to become quite open minded and unshockable(!) over the years and therefore i would consider myself quite easygoing.
My house is small enough but there is plenty of room for one or two more. It is located in a residential area which is quiet and on the outskirts of the city centre. I have walked into the city centre from time to time which has taken around 50 minutes-the best way to get in though is by bus or by taxi. It is also close by to Dublin airport.
I really do look forward to meeting you!
