The Space

Hi I am joanne and i live in a 3 bedroom house on the northside of the city. I work full time as a Social Worker in the area of Family Mediation.

My house is situated close enough to the city centre about a 20 minute bus journey or if you wanted to cycle in around 25- minutes depending on your fitness levels! I live in a residential area with shops, supermarkets, parks and restaurants close by. I live close to the Botanic Gardens and close enough to the Phoenix park. The bus that you take into town leaves you at Trinity College and stones throw from the main shopping area which is Grafton Street

This is a small room available and suitable for SHORT STAYS. I also have another room that i rent through Air BnB that is more spacious. The room in question is small but cosy with a comfy single bed. It has a small wardrobe, a full length mirror, a locker with drawers and a small desk and a chair. It is a box room so it may not suit people who are used to space and want to stay more than a week or so.

My house has a dining room, living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom that is shared. It has a nice back garden that you might like to sit out in when it's warm. It also has free WI FI

I am used to having a lot of people come and go from all walks of life so i think i'm pretty easygoing and open minded at this stage. I don't have many rules except to be respectful and clean as you go. Other than that i would expect you to make yourself at home when you stay.

Although i do not provide breakfast as such, i have a variety of cereals and fruit that i ask people to help themselves to in the morning if they please.

  • Joanne is awesome! Super friendly and helpful, she was a pleasure to get to know in the week i stayed with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone travelling to Dublin. Her place is also pretty conveniently located, I walked to the city centre mostly (about an hour walk past some great points of interest), but the bus stops right outside from I understand and Joanne posts the time table right in the room for you! Great person and great host.

  • Joanne is a great girl. She makes you feel at home and does her best to solve the problems I had. The room is tiny but comfortable. The location is quite good. The bus stops nearly in front of the house and brings you straight towards the city center of Dublin. I enjoy the stay there and I would recommend the B&B to friends and family.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Joanna was a very warm, welcoming host and I really enjoyed my time in Dublin thanks to her guidance and hospitality. The room is small but cozy, and the house is very open. Joanne was very helpful, even picking me up from the airport, explaining the bus system (EASILY accessed from the house), and recommending things to do. I'm happy to have met Joanne and hope to see her again someday! All the best! xx

  • Joanne was a warm and welcoming host. I had the flu when I was staying with her and she went out of her way to make me feel at home and comfy. She had great information and the room was exactly what the photos say. She even went out of her way to drive me to my next destination after leaving her. I would 100% recommend her, for all travelers.

Social Worker
Hi there, I'm Joanne. I live in a cosy 3 bedroom house on the Northside of the city which is close to all amenities such as supermarkets, post office, dry cleaners, newsagents, banks etc My house is relatively close enough to the city centre which is only a bus ride away. I've been living in Dublin all my life so i know the city very well. In saying that though i love to travel and have been to may places such as south east Asia, U.S.A, south america, Iceland, Finland and most of mainland I would consider myself well traveled which has allowed me to become more open minded about different cultures and ways of life. In particular i have a strong affiliation with Spanish and love the Spanish language and way of life as i lived in Spain for a number of months. I am used to hosting people and really enjoy it. I work as a Social Worker in the area of Family Mediation-this line of work has led me to become quite open minded and unshockable(!) over the years and therefore i would consider myself quite easygoing. My house is small enough but there is plenty of room for one or two more. It is located in a residential area which is quiet and outside of the city centre. I have walked into the city centre from time to time which has taken around 50 minutes-the best way to get in though is by bus or to cycle. I love to cook, bake and in general i love food so i am well frequented with the restaurants in dublin city. I love comedy, good wine and a good night out so i would know the social hot spots quite well and can always direct you to a bar or establishment that would suit your needs if that is what you enjoy. I look forward to meeting you!
