You'll be sharing the house with us and our two Burmese cats, so we'd like to know a little about you, your travel companions and your reason for visiting Red Hill, so please send an enquiry first. Don't book til we've discussed your visit!
Red Hill is the heart of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Plenty of vineyards, restaurants, golf courses of the highest standard. Galleries, markets, beaches are only a few minutes away.
Our property comprises several acres of garden, bush and paddocks. We run a few sheep (to keep the grass down so Paul can find his golf balls) and grow our own vegetables. It's a five minute walk to the award winning Paringa Estate winery and a ten minute drive to magnificent Arthurs Seat State Park, where you can walk with kangaroos as well as enjoy views across Port Phillip Bay.
Sleep in peace and darkness - no noisy roads or street lights here! Wake to the sound of the birds, feed the kookaburras, king parrots and galahs. Watch the yellow tailed black cockatoos. Spot a wedge tailed eagle. If you're lucky, see a koala and kangaroos in our garden!
Delicious house breakfast included.
If you need accommodation for more than two people, The Sewing Room is available.
We look forward to seeing you at The Kookaburra Room soon!
Enjoy everything our home has to offer.
Please don't smoke.
Please treat my home the way you would like your own home to be treated by guests.
We stayed for 3 days and it was a delightful experience. Jil and Paul made us very welcome, opened their home to us and were excellent hosts in every way. The room was lovely, comfortable and with a bathroom and toilet nearby for our exclusive use. The location was terrific with easy access to all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. Breakfast was simple and tasty with freshly baked bread/ muffins, cereal and juices. Very happy to recommend the Kookaburra room with no hesitation.
Jil and Paul made me feel very welcome in their very comfortable home with my own bathroom and toilet. It was easy to come and go as I pleased. Local advice assisted me to find local towns easy for shopping. When I mislaid my phone, Jil was very helpful in offering advice how to find it and finding information of local winery where I may have left it. (Found it BTW). Breakfast was great and meeting other members of the family. Only one night but enjoyable.
My husband and I had the most delightful 4 night stay with Jil and Paul.Their property is absolutely beautiful and the garden is amazing. Our room and bathroom were extremely comfortable . We ate breakfast every day with Jil and Paul and had many cups of tea and a few glasses of wine together reviewing our days activities. Their 2 cats are gorgeous and I enjoyed swimming in the pool every morning. The bird life about their property is wonderful . They made us extremely welcome and I highly recommend this B and B to all. This was our first airbnb experience and I think that it probably does not get better than this.
Hi Jill an Paul,
Thanks for a comfortable an friendly stay in your beautiful home. Jill's prompt communications during the booking process began an excellent experience from start to finish.
We really appreciate your attention to detail and the delicious breakfast each morning. Home made muesli, jam and bread yum.
It was wonderful to have your local knowledge re attractions and restaurants. We would definitely recommend to others. Thanks very much.
Jil made us feel incredibly welcome. was warm and flexible. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we weren't able to stay the night and Jil organised a refund for us immediately even though we had already turned up at the property. I wish we were able to stay. The room and property are beautiful. We look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Jil for being a wonderful host.
