We stayed at Monolocale for 3 nights, the terrace view is really impressive with Mt Vesuvius as background . The location is also good as our center to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast towns. Better have a car when you stay here, the only problem is the entrance from main road is really steep. The under part of our car was scratched every time we turn right from the road. Perhaps, under part of our car body is too low. (We rent BMW318d). Another point that 's nice to know, kitchenette here is not fully equipped. We have to purchase washing gel from supermarket to clean the dishes.
We had an amazing time at the Monolocale. We arrived by train from Rome and called Feeling Italy team at the Sorrento train station to get the direction to the villa. Cresencenzo offered us to called a taxi for us and got pickup at the train station direct to the house with a nice and welcoming driver for a reasonable cost lest then 50euro, we did the same on our departure. On our arrival Cresencenzo brought us by car around the little town of Sant' Agatha sui due Golfi and offered to stop at the grocery store. The house was accessible by bus with a short distance walk to the house, however the walk can be dangerous especially at night since there are not sidewalks and the roads are very narrow, bring a flashlight or something to be visible. We did not have a car and were able to manage with the public transport and walking. The little old road to go down to Sorrento is spectacular it took us about 1 hour since the road was slippery due to recent rain. The view you have from the villa is amazing, we felt safe and you have a grocery store at about 20mins walk from the villa in Sant' Agatha sui due Golfi.
We went to Positano by bus that stop at about 5 mins walk to the villa, went to Pompeii and Ercolano all that by walk and public transit without a car. Great host and great place out of touristy crowd, manageable without a car if you don't mind walking and travelling by bus and train .
The team was very receptive and helpful. The place is very nice, clean, confortable and has an amazing view. The location was perfect for what we were looking for: by car we were able to reach Positano or Sorrento by car in about 20minutes. The place is not so easy to reach at night and not being used to the Italian tiny roads, we've got a little lost, so I would recommend to get there during day time. Besides that, we had a great time.
Very well appointed apartment, perfect for family with kids, all necessary amenities in the room. Only 15 min. from Sorrento and 25 min. to Positano, although S.Agata is a lovely, non-touristy little village!
The guy from Feeling Italy was friendly and ready to answer all questions!
The experience was excellent. The place has a magnificent view, the apartment is perfectly equipped. The host is a great person who attended us very good. We hope we can return in the future. Thank you very much Sergio.
Endroit plutot agreable avec belle vue sur la baie.
Cependant frais et humide en hors saison, car le convertisseur ne suffit pas a suffisamment bien chauffer le volume de l appartement.
