After spending two weeks at our Welk Resort timeshare we moved into Jeri and Ted's a Temecula Wine Country Villa for a month. The villa exceeded our expectations and it came to feel like our home away from home. The villa is well appointed and spacious. Jeri and Ted were very gracious and accommodating hosts and promptly took care of a couple of minor issues that came up in the first few days.
We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the villa location. Being close to the wineries and their restaurants was an added bonus. The location of the villa made it convenient for us to use our day pass access to the Welk Resort and all of it's pools and other amenities.
The City of Temecula (population 107,000) is about a ten minute drive and has a variety of grocery stores and shopping available, including a large mall. "Old Town" in Temecula is interesting with blocks of restaurants and shops geared towards tourists.
Watching the hot air balloons float by, while enjoying our morning coffee in the back yard, was a true highlight. There are many opportunities for long walks in the area. We enjoyed our walks through the Wilson vineyards, specially when Molly, a neighbor's three legged chocolate lab, joined us.
We look forward to another extended stay in the future.
This place was such a pleasant surprise. Clean, fresh and homey. There was fruit and fresh flowers. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. I will definitely recommend to everyone. I hope to stay there again. Thank you for everything!!
This place was awesome. The house was clean and well equipped with all cooking hardware and towels. It is also located in a nice and quite neighborhood.
Four of my girlfriends and I stayed at Jeri's Villa over the MLK Holiday weekend and had a wonderful time! The Villa is furnished with comfy couches and beds and had a real homey feel. It's located within very easy driving distance to many wineries and only about 15 minutes from downtown Old Town. We really could not have been happier with our experience (and the price was great too)!
Great place for the weekend. Very private and VERY close to the wineries.
The pictures does not do this place any justice, it is very SPACIOUS and beautiful. There was plenty of room for the six of us to sleep and hang out comfortably. The host left clear instructions upon arrival and they did not intrude in any way, they were very friendly and kept to themselves. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Temecula.
The reservation was canceled 67 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lovely location and very spacious quarters; the description given by the hosts matches up to the reality. The problem we had was that there were no working electrical outlets in the master bathroom. Ted brought an extension cord to run to the bedroom, which provided one available outlet at a time. We were sharing the villa with another couple, so couldn't really take over their bathroom. The other thing I'll mention, which wasn't a problem for us, but also isn't mentioned in the profile description, is that to drive up to the villa, a gate (that you drive through) must be manually opened and then closed each time you drive to or from the home. The reasoning makes sense: to protect the domestic animals from wild ones. However, anyone with a disability or mobility issue would do well to be alerted to this in advance. Despite these minor issues, I would stay there again. The tranquility and surroundings were lovely. And the cost is quite low compared to what it would have been to stay at a hotel in the area.
I rented the Villa for two nights to hold a Bridal shower for my sister in law. The Villa was spacious and clean, but there was no heat. The villa's heater broke the night before our arrival, so it was a LITTLE uncomfortable with the space heaters (either too hot or too cold, and esp cold in the mornings). Other than that, Jeri and her husband were great hosts, and I would totally recommend their villa to stay in.
This beautiful cottage really surpassed our expectations! It's very spacious and tastefully appointed, with two big bedrooms and lots of room to relax. The king-size bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable - firm but not hard, with lots of good pillows. Everything throughout the cottage was incredibly clean and well-stocked, too. Jeri is a fantastically thoughtful hostess and was so gracious with our last-minute issues.
The land and the views are just breathtaking. Right behind the cottage is a rolling vineyard, and in front there's a valley and a magnificent view of the mountains. A narrow horse path in the valley makes a wonderful walking trail - I spent about 2 hours going from one end to the other, then napped in the comfy bed. A perfect stay!
