A secret corner in the shade of the Anaga Massif and on the shore of the immense Atlantic Ocean. This accommodation is an "Oasis" by the sea, a haven of calm, untamed and wild, for those who want to get lost somewhere between the rich green of the mountain and the eternal blue of the sea. From its doorstep, trails are born to get lost in nature and reach natural pools and black sand beaches only known by locals or those looking for a different experience.

The space
This Oasis is a small cottage located in a lost hamlet in the Taganana area. It is a haven of peace, lulled by the murmur of the waves, and only interrupted by the occasional sound of seabirds. It is located a few meters from the sea and at the foot of the Anaga Massif, Natural Park.

The Oasis has calm for all types of guests: for those who love nature, practically from the accommodation, trails depart that go into the Massif de Anaga, a real prehistoric gem. For lovers of the sea, a few meters away are small natural pools and the exotic black sandy beach of Tachero, which at certain times of the year has a sandbar that goes into the sea up to 100 meters.

The decor of the house combines the most rustic Canarian style with some highly selected elements of modernity and comfort. It is divided into three usable floors: accessing from the bottom you reach the cozy and bright living room-kitchen with sofa bed. It's a nice sitting area for a small snack while cooking in its rustic looking (albeit renovated) kitchen. The kitchen, with its handmade wooden pantry, has a microwave and all the utensils you need for your stay.
If you take the stairs, you will reach the second floor, where you will find the spacious and bright bedroom, which leads to a small balcony overlooking the immense sea and mountains. The bed in the bedroom is double, with the possibility of reclining electronically and separating into two single beds, if guests wish. The room also has a television for guests who like to use it.
On the same floor, we found the bathroom with shower tray and recently renovated.
On the top floor, we find the best part of this Oasis, its center: the terrace-azotea partially covered by a porch (for the sunniest hours) and from which you can see the immense Atlantic Ocean and the mountains of Anaga. A great place to soak up the first rays of sunshine with breakfast or spend the late afternoon and early evening with a nice bottle of Malvasia island wine.

Where you’ll be

Tachero, Canarias, Spain

The accommodation is located in the Taganana area but in a remote hamlet, which is even unknown to many locals. It is accessed through a road that descends down the hill of the Massif de Anaga to the shore of the beach.
From the hamlet there are several hiking trails that are lost in nature along the coast and ascending the mountains, for those looking for adventure.
In addition, in front of the hamlet there are many practically private bathing areas, such as puddles that are created with tides and a virgin sandy or quiet beach depending also on the tides and the time of year. The location in this unspoilt and secluded place is the magic of this Oasis. Very few know him.
By car you can also reach the best hiking trails on the island that start from other points of the Massif de Anaga, one of the last stables in Laurisilva in the world. Laurisilva is a type of lush and prehistoric vegetation that is only preserved in some islands of Macaronesia (Canary Islands and Azores).
A few kilometers away by car you will also find some of the best beaches on the island, the ones preferred by locals and exotic black sand: Roque de las Bodegas, Almáciga and Benijo.
