Base Camp is located at the gateway to your White Mountain National Forest adventures! Quiet, comfortable and convenient to hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and area attractions. Only 30 minutes to either Lincoln, North Woodstock or Plymouth. You can spend your evenings by the outdoor gas fire pit during warmer months, or enjoy a toasty gas fire stove in the winter.

The space
The host home shares the property with the camp, but is a separate building. This is a great spot for the outdoor enthusiastic to return to at the end of the day to enjoy indoor comforts. Only 15 minutes to Mt Moosilauke- the first 4,000 footer on the AT. MANY other hikes for various abilities listed in the camp. Our town is surrounded by the White Mountains. BUT only 30 minutes to cities with entertainment, movies, shopping. We have 3 friendly dogs and 2 cats that you may see.

Guest access
Guest are asked to use the camp and patio in front of camp during their stay.
We ask that you do not wander about the rest of the property for safety and privacy reasons. There is a manual light gas grill for guest use if desired. Parking is for one car right in front of the camp, to the right of the patio, please pull forward.

Other things to note
We are on a dirt road, close to the top of a hill. To access us during winter/spring months please be confident that your vehicle capable of handling the challenging conditions that occur occasionally due to weather. PLEASE REVIEW THE MAP OF THIS AREA. Some GPS does not acknowledge that Beech Hill can be accessed from Rt 25 in Wentworth for the shortest route to camp. ****Please note - there is currently a 10 gallon hot water heater for the shower, adequate, but very long hot showers are not yet available. Needs 20 minutes to reheat between showers.

Within 30 minutes: Breweries, Polar Caves, Clark's Trading Post, Whales Tale Water Park, Loon Mountain, Franconia Notch, Plymouth State University. Also, Rumney Race track, the AT, and an actual Redstone Rocket. The immediate location of the camp is rural in a town of around 900. Camp is actually just about on the town line of an equally sized town. Laundry facility only 5 mins away!

I am a native of Connecticut, relocated in 2017 because of the abundant outdoor activities that New Hampshire has to offer. I love hiking/snowshoeing with my husband and our rescue dogs. We enjoy sharing our recommendations for breweries, restaurants and a variety of hikes in our area.
