From the moment I made the reservation, I received important information from the owner. When I reached out to explain the reason for our trip (8 women celebrating a 50th birthday), she provided tons more info. (about restaurants, sight-seeing, etc.) in IOP as well as Mt. Pleasant and Charleston proper. The house is huge and can accommodate many people. One of the best things about it is that noise does not seem to travel from downstairs to upstairs AT ALL - so "night owls" don't disturb sleepers and early risers don't wake up those who want to sleep in. The beach is big and beautiful and the house provides quick and easy access. Our stay was short (too short) so we didn't cook in at all, but there are at least two brand new electric grills and plenty of kitchen supplies. The A/C works great, ceiling fans too. The bathrooms were immaculate. The kitchen could have been a bit cleaner, but it was my own mistake for not alerting the owner right away because she is very responsive and would have gotten right on it. We commented that there weren't very many hangars in the closets and by the time we returned from dinner that night, a bag full of new hangars were sitting outside the door. This property is great for large groups, families, etc. My biggest regret is that I wasn't able to stay there a week or longer.

My team from work needed a place to stay while on production in Charleston and this house was perfect. With the large number of bedrooms and bathrooms we were all able to have our own space yet enjoy the common areas after a long day at work. The view is stunning and the house very comfortable. Everyone on the team is interested in bringing their families back to vacation here.

I can't recommend this house highly enough! I brought my dad here to celebrate his 60th birthday and the house VERY comfortably fit 10 adults. We cooked a few giant meals in the beautiful kitchen, ate at the amazing dining room table and spent plenty of time gawking at the incredible ocean view from the cozy couches. We spent all weekend planning our next trip, we can't wait to go back!! My only regret was that we didn't plan MORE time to just relax on the beach... But we'll save that for our next visit! Thanks, Susan, for lending your house to such a wonderful weekend.
