  • It was a perfect stay in Albertos apartement. It is a beautiful location with everything you need. It is also located in an awesome area with lots of restaurants, bars and beautiful old streets. Thx

  • This was a great experience overall!!! Alberto was very nice, very responsive to the emails I sent before we arrived, asking how we should get to the apartment, if there was a grocery store nearby, etc. Once we arrived he met us at the bus stop, we dropped our luggage at the apartment, then he spent 20 minutes walking around the neighborhood with us showing us where the grocery, coffee, best gelato and best places to eat were. Perfect location right by Piazza Navona, walking distance to Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, as well at the Vatican. So many great restaurants nearby to choose from, we didn't have to take a taxi to dinner at all! The only slight drawback to location is that it's nowhere near a Metro line, in case you sign up for a tour that's too far to walk to. The Metro line is very small in Rome though, and taxis are not very expensive. Apartment was clean, spacious, lovely and air conditioned!!! Kitchen was fabulous, stocked with pots and pans and everything else needed to cook and eat at home. Washing machine was a huge plus as well!! Would definitely recommend, and whenever my husband and I make it back to Rome, we will be staying at Alberto's place again!! October 2012

  • Albertos' apartment is in a fabulous location! After toiling over where to stay in Rome, I am glad I chose this apartment. It's on a quiet street, with a beautiful view of the tile rooftops and shuttered windows.

One street away, is a great coffee/wine bar, a small market, and many retail shops that lead to Piazza Navona. The neighborhood felt quaint, local, and slightly away from the touristy/party places. (But close enough to walk over to Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori if you wanted a piece of that too.)

We walked everywhere and there are so many great restaurants nearby... so many, that we didn't really use the kitchen except for making one lunch! For a Rome apartment, we appreciated the somewhat large kitchen and room to move around - that you don't find in a Rome hotel.

If you were to do some serious cooking, buy some provisions at the market - olive oil, etc, since there were some pantry items available, but not many.

Alberto was very accommodating. He let us check in early, since we were coming over from a hotel and had to check out by noon. When I sent him an email to ask a question, he was prompt to return it.

If you are just a couple renting this apartment, I would recommend sleeping in the back bedroom - it's more comfortable. (One bed is in a back bedroom, the other is located in the living area.) We slept in the main room, with the red couch and table.

Overall, I would say this is a great apartment to rent. The decor is eclectic, the kitchen roomy by Roman standards, and the location is fabulous.

  • Alberto was very kind and was an excellent host. He met us where our taxi dropped us off and walked with us and our luggage to arrange a taxi back to the train station. The location of his apartment was perfectly situated between the Vatican and Piazza Navona. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes within close walking distance including a great gelateria called "Gelateria del Teatro" right around the corner. There was a grocery store around the corner and having a washing machine in the apartment was a great help. We will strongly recommend this location to friends who travel to Roma in the future.

  • This is a terrific two bedroom apartment. The location is really excellent within the small streets close to piazza navona, with restaurants, bars, and cafes close by. The common space is within one of the large bedrooms.

We really enjoyed staying here, Alberto was a great host. Highly recommend staying here, the building is very nice.

  • Had a wonderful stay in Alberto's apartment at end of May/12. Close to everything - about 15-20 minute nice walk to vatican, just over 1/2 hour to Berghese Gallery, 5 min to Piazza Navona - 15-20 min to Spanish steps & about 1/2 hour to Colliseum. Only complaint is indicative of the area, is that on the weekend nights, the streets are very noisy, as all of the cafe's and bars occupants spill out into the roadways. We did a lot of walking. Do not recommend the restaurant straight ahead of door, but the one opposite on the other corner (started with F, was really good). Alberto provided shuttle service to/from airport, which was nice, not having to negotiate with the taxis. We even managed to communicate with my rudimentary Italian and Alberto's english... Even though a bit noisy, would definitely stay again, if we ever make it back to Rome.

  • Alberto's place is great. You get a ton of space for the location and price, and, being right in the city center, it is very close to a ton of nice attractions. Also, the place has some great conveniences, like WiFi and a washing machine (for doing laundry).

There are also some great places in the neighborhood. The apartment is right next to one bar and down the street from another. There are also some nice restaurants, a gelato place, and even a small grocery just one or two streets from the apartment.

The best thing about the place is that it completes the experience of being in Rome. As a visitor, staying in a place like this is definitely preferable to staying in a hotel. Where a hotel kind of separates you from the actual city, staying in Alberto's place keeps you attached to the feeling of the city.

  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and I'm very satisfied! Alberto and Violeta were amazing, very accommodating to our travel plans, and their apartment is perfect! The location couldn't be better for getting around in Rome! We were less than a 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona and a 20 min walk from the Vatican. The apartment is very well equipped with 2 beautiful and large bedrooms and a very nice bathroom and kitchen! I would definitely stay here again! Thank you so very much!

  • Alberto's apartment is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The WiFi worked great. He even has some Rome tourism information available for reference. The apartment has a nice location near Piazza Navona. There are many restaurants nearby and lots going on in the evening. It's walking distance to many of the major sites.
