Ceiling and walls have all been replaced with smooth, mold-free sheetrock, new flooring and cabinets. This attractive condo, decorated in a tropical motif, is situated on the second floor of the center "B" building, at the end, where your bedroom shares no neighboring wall or noise. The balcony affords unobstructed panoramic ocean views of the ocean, as we are in the middle bldg facing straight out (the 2 others angle in). This view is also shared from LR and kitchen. Most of the pricing posted is for Summer rentals. Fall/ Winter/ Spring rates are lower. I apologize that there have been mis-quotes as the pricing is different throughout the year, and that has been very hard to get across on this site. Please do email for a correct quote.
Condo was very welcoming and host left easy to follow instructions for entry so check-in was a breeze. Rules of the house and local information was left so we were able to get around locally and downtown with great ease and confidence. Location was perfect with easy access to beach, downtown, sites and neighboring islands. Condo was walking distance to several good restaurants, bars and shopping. Perfect place for our weekend getaway. Host responsive and always positive. Thank you Susan!
Susan was very helpful in making sure we were settled in, and sent very detailed instructions on all logistics regarding check-in, amenities, check out, etc. The place was nicely decorated, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed. It's small, but definitely enough room for 3 adults. The bunk beds are meant for children, but the couch/pullout is very comfortable. Also very close to restaurants (highly recommend Acme Lowcountry Kitchen), Harris Teeter, etc. Overall a very good experience, and we would certainly return.
Susan was a very good communicator and hostess. Everything was very easy. The parking pass and room key were available when we arrived with a booklet of instructions. The condo looked out on the ocean sad access to the beach was easy.
Susan was very responsive and hospitable! A wonderful, well-organized host and a fabulous location. Check-ins and out very smooth and all information was very clear. Isle of Palms js a quieter community right on the beach and about a 15 minute drive from Charleston. The apartment is cozy and bright and great if you want the option to cook a meal or watch a DVD. The balcony overlooks the ocean and it's a 2 minute walk to the beach and the pier. Lovely home base for us to explore Charleston. Thanks Susan!
Overall it was good stay, nice location and plenty of space in the house. Mattresses were not very comfortable, especially the bunk beds. Both the carpets and the comforters didn't feel very clean. Lastly, in my opinion it is a lot to ask from the guests to leave sheets and towels washed and dry and yet expect them to check out at 10am when check in is at 4pm.
Our location and space are definitely the main draw. We have never received a matress complaint in 10 years of this rental, and replaced the King and Queen beds with med-high quality, med firmness (too hard or soft would bother too many guests) this past Spring. The bunks are really only comfortable for children, or a smaller adult. Carpets are steam cleaned twice a year, and comforters washed every other week, plus we keep extras for guests to switch out if they wish. Off-season late check-outs are easy to arrange when asked. Also, we ask guests to "1st thing check-out morning strip sheets and begin washing sheets only. Get all towels into laundry room, and TRY to toss sheets in dryer and start towels washing." This guests started their sheets in washer and left, which was accepted with no penalty.
Susan was wonderful. The space was well eqipped aned all amenities were easy to access. We had a great time and are thankful for her professionalism. Susan rocks! She thought of everything. I recommended her to all my family and friends for our next trip and we want the huge beach house next time.
